You have to relax!. Easier said than done, I know!. I used to lie on my bed and try to relax my muscles one at a time!. Breath deeply and slowly and with each breath concentrate on one part of your body!. Start with your hands!. Breath in!.!.!.!.!. breath out and let your hands relax!.!.!.!.!. then do your feet!.!.!.!.!. then your arms!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. If it takes four or five breaths don't worry just keep letting each piece try to relax!. or work on one toe or one finger!. Close your eyes, remember it can't hurt you, and breath!. I usually never got past my lower legs before I fell asleep and when i woke I felt a little better!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc!.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc!.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level!.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication!. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac!. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings!. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac!. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc!.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced!.!.!. you have that "learned behavior" in your mind!. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this!. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction!.!.!. There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to!.!.!.!.

I suffer with severe anxiety and panic and besides using my rescue medication I try to close my eyes, and think of something calming!. It's hard to do but you just have to talk yourself through it!. Have you thought about getting a rescue medication to help with breakthrough attacks!? The one I'm on is placed under your tongue and dissolves and starts to work within 15 seconds after dissolving!. It's great, you might want to look into it!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

To me this is something that you will have to find out on your own!. Me, I would get in my recliner ALONE ( noone else in the room) and rock myself!!! I know that sounds retarded but that is what worked for me!. I would literally rock myself to sleep!. I hated being around people when I had one, because to me it was embarrassing because noone knew what I was going through or understood it!. A xanax was most sufficient!Www@Answer-Health@Com
