Has anyone experienced unusual bruising whilst taking fluoxetine?!

Question: Has anyone experienced unusual bruising whilst taking fluoxetine!?
I seem to be bruising really easily recently, and am wondering if this could be a side effect of fluoxetine!. I have read through the side effects on the patient instructions, but it is not listed!. I am currently taking 60mg!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Fluoxetine can slightly increase the risk of bruising and bleeding, but this can be significant when aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e!.g naproxen, ibuprofen, ketoprofen, flurbiprofen, diclofenac, sulfasalazine, sulindac, oxaprozin, salsalate, piroxicam, indomethacin, etodolac) are also taken!. If you are worried i would pop back and see your GP !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, i am no longer taking fluoxetine but when I was I was on a high dose and bruises where appearing on my legs, small spot like bruises!. I told my GP and showed them too her!. I had read that Fluoxetine was a possible cause, she disagreed and said she didn't think it was a side effect, she went and got a medical book and then noticed it was one of the last symptoms listed in the book for fluoxetine, so it can be a side effect but there is nothing really to worry about!.

best wishes

I dont personally get bruising from fluoxetine but just wanted to point out that on the patient instructions in my pack bruising IS listed!. Its probably because its a different company!. If you are concerned about this, bring it up next time you see your GP and see what they say about it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes when I was on it a few years ago I swear you would have thought I had been fighting my skin bruised to the touch near enough if you find it getting worse or you find if you ever cut yourself and you bleed more than usual go to your dr and ask for a general INR thes this checked your blood thickness leaves if your bloods too thin sometimes it causes bad bruising good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

I never used to get bruises but have recently been getting them alot more, i take 40mg a day, i suppose it could be linked!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
