My therapist had the cops waiting for me when I went in for therapy?!

Question: My therapist had the cops waiting for me when I went in for therapy!?

I'm temporarily unemployed and was advised to go to a university where students seeking their masters degree give "therapy" at a reduced cost!.

They claim it's normally $60 a session but gave it to me for $10!.

My "therapist" who was around 24-year-old only had a B!.S!. and was only 1 year into her masters degree!. She is supposedly supervised by a real psychologist!.

Anyways, to make a long story short, the reason i needed therapy was because i was going through a breakup with my ex and was suicidal, depressed, ocd, and heartbroken!.

I had about 8 sessions with her!. Today when i arrived at the university there was a cop standing outside her office!.

I always greet her with a smile and she was like "what are you laughing at!?" I said "nothing, im just smiling!."

She then accused me of "following her on the freeway" and "stalking her!."

I would NEVER do that to anyone!. I cant beleive she had the campus police there like i was going to "rape her" or something!.

I'm completely and totaly innocent and never stalked anyone in my life and she accuses me of this!? She said i was "following her o nthe freeway for a good six miles!."

this just made all my problems worse!. i felt betrayed!. especially wit hthe cop outside her office!.

Then she was like: "you have to take meds and she a psychiatrist if you want to continue seeing me, and you have to leave the university immediately after our session is over and not linger (she thought i was waiting around for her to leave so i could follow her)!.

i told her no thanks and ended it!.

why on earth would i follow her!? i dont know what car she drives, what time she leaves work, and im not interested in her at all, and even if i was i would never do THAT!

plus you think if i was a real stalker i would just come back the next day when the police arent there and say "hello"!.

what a crazy experience!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would tell who ever is in charge of that department what she did to you!. If shee is that psycho, how can you in good conscience NOT rid the world of a potentially bad therapist!? She could have caused someone to commit suicide pulling some sh!t like that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, whatever you do, it sounds like it's time for a new therapist!. Probably best not to go with a student!. Good luck and feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

aren't u doing anything abt it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

What an unprofessional attitude! really in case you would have turned out to be a stalker she should have talked to you about it and see if you were disturbed!. But she is the one who needs terapy!.
You never expect this from professionals, my psychiatrist its also an insensitive bastard!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should file a complaint with the university!. Tell them that you have absolutely no idea what kind of car she drives, and so if you followed her on the freeway, it was entirely inadvertent, and that if she is going to be paranoid to the point of calling police prior to even mentioning anything to you, that she probably needs to be in another line of work!. She's probably just going to tell them that you're nuts, and you're lying!. What a crazy b*tch! Sounds like you are the least mentally unstable person in this scenario!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Contact the university and this person's supervisor - the licensed psychologist under who's license this person is working!. This person is responsible under APA ethics standards for this person's behavior!. This is quite unacceptable behavior, and unfortunately sorting it out may compromise some of your confidentiality!.

You can also contact the APA ethics committee for information and file a report!. http://help!.apa!.org/faq_question!.cfm!?Ask!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok, if u ain't charged wiht anything, then don't worry about it, i can understand that ur going through a rough time at the moment, adn this may be harder for you then wat it normally would, just forget about it, keep protesting ur inocence, and yeam u will get through it, i promise, and don't kill urself, its not worth it, emial me at

kirra!.hope@hotmail!.com if u want to talk moreWww@Answer-Health@Com

you do know what kind of car she drives and you were behind her on the freeway!. you knew you were behind her but you didn't see it as stalking!. you may have done this in the past with other people but you don't see it as stalking!. thats why you defended yourself so strongly!. but buddy in reality you are stalking or lead people to believe your stalking so you should probably gather up the money to go to a real psychologistWww@Answer-Health@Com
