Please help, i don't know why i am this way..?!


Question: Please help, i don't know why i am this way!.!.!?
for the past 3 weeks, i've just been depressed and i don't really know why!.!.
i'm just not hungry anymore, and i only eat 1-2 meals a day!.!.
i'm 16!.!.
i cut myself at least once a week!.!.
my mom has cancer, and i think positive thoughts and hope she's going to pull through, so i really don't think i'm stressed out from that b/c it really doesn't seem to bother me that much!. i just try not to think about it as much, and it seems to work!.
i don't think it's school, b/ci feel this way outside of school!.!.but when i act like how i feel, teachers and other people won't leave me alone!.!.so i skip a few classes to get away from them!.!.!.
my mom's going through a lot and i don't want to talk to her about this, b/c she really won't be able to handle it, she can barely handle questions you'd think were simple to answer like "can i go somewhere today!?"!.!.!.
i don't want to go to a counselor b/c again that would upset my mom a lot and she would not be able to handle it!.!.
my best friend knows about this, and she tries to help cheer me up and stuff!. but when i'm really depressed and feel like cutting, like yesterday, i try to talk to one of my friends-but they're not always there and i end up cutting myself!.!.
i know it's bad, but cutting helps!.!.!.it's easier than writing my feelings down on paper!.!.but i just don't want to be depressed anymore!. why am i this way and can anybody help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Actually, it may be bothering your mom more than you realize!. She may be constantly worrying about how this is affecting you!. And you may not be realizing, or accepting, that it is affecting you!. You obviously have concerns for your mother, so it is not a matter of you choosing to ignore it all!. That is good!. But you still need to talk to your mother, admit to yourself, and let it be shown that you have these concerns!. It is weighing on you enough to affect your school, so it will become noticed by many whether you choose to notice it or not!.

It's good that you are not suicidal!. But if you are a Christian, you have options open to you!. You could also be going through the 'what kind of God would let this happen' stage too!. No one is immune from that just because of being Christian!. Depression isn't easy!. Trust me, been there done that!. And if something isn't done as soon as possible, it can fester!. It can turn ugly no matter how hard you try!. Talk to someone you can trust, immediately!. Tell the people who keep bothering you, like a broken record if you must, that if they are concerned about you, they will allow you time to breathe instead of closing in on you!.

It is good to know that you realize that cutting is bad!. But it isn't helping as much as you think!. It never does!. Very temporary solution to a seriously long lasting problem!.

You need to give you mom a chance to be there for you!. She is probably stronger than you give her credit for!. I am pretty sure her illness is having more of an effect on you than you realize!. Please talk to you mom and get some counseling!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have severe depression and you do need help! If not it could get worse! Your mom may be going through a lot but she still is your mom, and I'm sure still loves you and wants what is best for you!. So get help! Talk to your high school counselor!. There is also all kinds of free therapy for teens!.
Don't cut yourself anymore!
Or maybe try religion!? You'd be suprised the power and hope that comes from forming a relationship with God!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

First off, cutting is NEVER the answer!. As much as you may not think its your mom that is upsetting you , it probably is!. Just the thought of knowing that she isn't in good health and there is a possibility that she will die if she doesn't make it through!. I may seem hard but the best thing to do is to talk to someone, and not just a friend!. Someone who can and will give you help you can use for the rest of your life!. Losing a family member is ALWAYS hard!. I lost my grandmother (who moved into our house when i was 6) a year ago to cancer!. I watched her get worse and worse everyday!. It got to the point were she didn't even want to get up out of bed to feed herself!. She would go all day until i got home to help her!. I was really close to her, and we used to talk all the time, but like you know it is very hard to talk to someone who is battling cancer!.
Some days will be better than others, but you really do need to talk to a Professional!. maybe if you Just go to your school counselor!. SKipping class isn't going to help either!. I actually started doing better in school cause i would use my classwork and homework to take my mind off of things!.
I highly suggest you talk to someone!. Talking to friends doesn't really work i found because they have never had to go through losing someone to cancer!.

omg im exactly where u are actaully i just posted a qquestion about cutting and i cant tell my mom cuz shes going through so much right now with my dad we ahve soome family problems but i dont mind them, i dont know why i feel this way either but i do which sux but trust me please stop cutting i have so many scars and they suck during the summer u can wear anything short and stuff its gets really anoyying i run out of things to wear so fast too but i stilllll feel like i need to cut how about u start off by talking to ur school counselor about how u feel but leave out the cutting part cuz thats when they will have to tell ur mom but for nnow ust go talk about basics it will help trust me at least try, good lcuk hope i helpedWww@Answer-Health@Com

you need to see a therapist!. After all, wouldn't your mother feel even worse if she knew how depressed you were!?

Try to find activities you like to do!. Do you like playing a certain sport!? Do you enjoy a certain hobby!? Spend time doing stuff you like instead of cutting yourself!. And while your doing these activities, think about how much better it is than damaging your body!. Plus it'll help you take your mind off the stress that's going on in your life!.

I know it's hard to have so much going on!. feeling trapped and alone!. but cutting isn't going to help out much and in the end, you might regret it!. good luck! you have my best wishes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
