Do you think I might of had some sort of pyschotic episode?!

Question: Do you think I might of had some sort of pyschotic episode!?
I have been really really stressed a lot has happened between myself and my boyfriend lately The night before this I cried the whole night long, I have a history of Epilepsy and Panic attacks I take medication for my epilepsy (Topamax)!. On the way to work yesterday I had a complete freak out and started hyperventilating and was unable to hold my head up it was just drooping forward my fists were clenched!. My boyfriend took me straight to hospital and I continued to hyperventilate and was very agitated my eyes were rolling and could not focus on the one thing!. I was then taken into the ER and they were trying to put a cannula in my arm when my forehead started to tingle like pins and needles and my head rolled down the side on the bed and I started kicking and punching and about seven nurses and my boyfriend came and pinned me down and I started screaming and I felt my brain go strange like jelly my eyes were rolling yet focused on my boyfriend I think I remember thinking he was after me like they were, he was supposed to love me but he was coming after me with them!. They then dosed me up with Diazapam and that was that I was then back, I was not confused like normal after a seizure nor was I as tired as I am normally after a seizure!. So what happened to me!. Panic Attack!? Seizure!? Or some strange sort of episode!? When I got home from the hospital I layed in bed and cried the whole day and I had chest pains and I still have chest pains today what is wrong with me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Didn't they tell you what it was at the hospital!? Sounds like you need to talk to the dr!. again!.

Sounds like a panic attack!. Anxiety can cause chest pains and hyperventilation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I believe the hospital already answered that question when they said you would have to check with your specialist!. None of us on this forum know any more than the doctors that treated you at the hospital know!. Why the hell WOULDN'T you WANT to see your specialist after an episode like that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That was not likely a psychotic episode!. Diazapam is used to treat seizures and anxiety, and it apparently worked, so it is likely to have been one (or both!?) of those!. Also, it could have been a reaction to something ingested, possibly unknown to you (for example, if you ate at a restaurant, who knows what ended up in your food)!. What diagnosis did the ER give!? I would definitely want to discuss with your regular doctor if you haven't experienced something like that before!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
