My friend cuts herself...?!
Question: My friend cuts herself!.!.!.!?
My friend is thirty years old and she cuts herself to take the edge off any emotional pain she may be feeling!. But she cuts the outside of her arm!. She threatens that she's going to kill herself!. Unless she's anemic, I told her in order to do this, she would have to cut the inside of her arm (where the veins are visible) otherwise, its just for attention!. I don't really know if that's true!.!.!.!? Why does she cut the outside of her arm!? And obviously, i know she doesn't really want to die, or else, she wouldn't still be here!. Cutting and suicide are two completely different things, linked together by depression and impulse!. Cutting is a way to cope, suicide is a way to stop trying!. So the two are unrelated, she can kill herself differently from cutting; most self injurers who are suicidal do!. As for why she cuts on the outside of her arm, like I said; it isn't with suicidal intent!. People who self injure do it to all different parts of their bodies; arms/wrists are practical because they are easy to access and if needed easy to cover!.
If she doesn't want to stop or get help there isn't much you can do but be there for her as a friend, and tell her that you think she could benefit from therapy and remind her that she has people who care about her!. Also keep in mind that some anti depressants make depression worse and if that is a possibility she should switch medications or stop taking them!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

any type of self harm is bad, maybe you can take her to see some one, or just talk to her and try to understand fully why she is doing it!. i found that when i used to self harm, like 5 years ago talking to my best friend really helped me to stop, so just be kind and try to understand what she is going through!. she could have some type of stress problem aswell!. but i dunno!.
i hope you can get her through this, try to get her to stop before she scars herself for life!. i still have scars from my self harm which they most likely will never fade, im so embarrased of them, and i hope you can stop her so she doesnt have to go though the same thing like i do!.

I have a friend who used self-harm as a means of 'feeling something' when he felt nothing!. This, after his shocking and sudden end of his marriage!. He also suffers with depression, has his good days and his not so good days!.!.!.without medication!. He is 44, physically active and has counselling!.!. Be a friend!.!. Ask her to seek help, counselling from an impartial or GP will be a great start!.!. Love her!.!.

You can't help your friend with that conversation!. Cutting is only a symptom of some much deeper issue!. If you truly care for your friend, please refer her to a medical professional!. And please let someone in her family know what you have told us!. It may take a team effort to get your friend the help she truly needs!. I wish her the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had a friend who used to do this too, however she was 14-16 at the time!. Its quite common, but she does need either counselling or anti-depressants!.!.!.sorry!. Of course if she can ween out the problems in her life, that would be even better!. Just look after her and keep her happy!Www@Answer-Health@Com
