Question: How to raise confidence!?
now im not a very confident person and m self esteem is low!. i want to raise!. i see some people i look up to every week who's confidence and self esteem are where i want mines to be!. what they have is:
dont care what others think of them, smilie alot, walk with head up, do whatever and dont care what people say or think about it, have full conversations with random people, love themselves, arent conceited, proud to be themselves, always happy, speek their mind and does whatever!.

now: im the quiet kid in school who knows a bunch of people but doenst talk to many of them, i dont try tto meet new people, im shy, i worry what others say and think about me constantly, i dont like my oily forehead and nose, i dont stick up for myself(verbally), i think of the worst thing that could happen in a situation, i stopped playing ball part of the reason is because of my conscioussness, i dont like what i see when i look in the mirror, i look at the ground, i think about all my defects(only 1) and think about it allday

i want to have a high cofidence and self esteem level as those people i look up to hopefully by january of 2009!. and i dont know wher to start can you help get started and direct me on what to do!. thanx

Answers:
i think if you look more confident, you feel more confident!. i learned this in an acting camp: stand up and act like you in a bubble, then make the bubble strong (like made out of plexi glass or something), then finally make it big and have your bubble encompass the whole room!. this makes you have presence!. when you are in your bubble you tend to stand up straighter!. you also listed all the things you can do, do those!. smile!. that helps a whole lot!. also try not to cross you arms, it shuts you down makes you unapproachable (body languge)!. i know you said you have read books, but you should read "how to win friends and influence people" by dale carnagie!. you don't even have to read all of it just the main points at the end of each chapter!. good luck! :PWww@Answer-Health@Com
