I want to go on Adderall?!

Question: I want to go on Adderall!?
Well, first how do I tell my Dr!. I want to go on adderall!? I'm about to turn 16 and I'm a junior in high school and I truly think that aderol would benefit me in a great way!. I'm not saying I'm going to become dependent on it to do all my work for me!. I know that I have to put in the effort myself and I'm willing it's just that for that past 2 years or so (after freshman year) I've been seriously struggling in school (D-, E's, and F's) and had to go to summer school last year barely even passed that! Officially I'm not even deemed a junior until january when they bump me up since I'm missing 1 credit still!. I always lose focus in class, zone out when the teacher's talking and by the end of the period I have no clue what the class is about, when were told to do work or a test in slience my mind just goes blank and when it is noisy my mind is still blank, and I procrastinate ALOT, it's really frustrating!. College is around the corner and I'm worried I'm going to fall behind or mess up so bad that I'll have to repeat a grade!. I'm missing so much work, it's also building up an anxiety problem!. I've also confronted my parents about the drug but they say that I don't need it and I'm perfectly fine that I just need to concentrate (its not that I won't I seriously can't stop my mind from drifting) harder but when the report card comes they get disppointed when they already knew I told them I was having problems but they denied it all, it's driving me crazy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your doctor has to have a reason to put you on Adderall!. You can't just tell them you want to go on it and they put you on it, as there are drug regulations they have to follow!. Failing in school, short attention span, not remembering a thing after class, and procrastination sounds like a lot of students!. If you procrastinate and don't study the material, you will fail!. If you procrastinate, your work will build up!. It seems procrastination maybe the problem!. Everyone's mind wonders at some point, the average attention span isn't that long, try to learn a little at a time and take a break, then continue!. Most importantly, you have to give yourself time to digest what you've learned!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Talk to the school guidance counselor about being tested to see if you are ADD -- Attention Deficit Disorder!. If you are there may be a reason for medication!. But as the other poster said, no one is going to prescribe medication without a reason, there has to be a justification for the prescription!. Doctors can lose their licenses for prescribing drugs that are not valid prescriptions over the long run!.

In the meantime, try to study a little at a time and then give yourself a break and then study some more!. It is proven that people absorb more if they take frequent breaks -- like every 30 minutes take 5 minutes or so off!. But then study the other 30 minutes and take notes on what you are studying to help you comprehend it!.

Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
