I'd work on paying off the credit card debt but I would look for a sliding scale location to get therapy so you would be able to do both!. As intelligent as you are here, I assume you know where to find sliding scale locations near you!. If you need the SAMHSA locator, email me!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If your problem is making you unable to function in the real world so that you can't hold down a job, you don't have much choice!. I don't know what is going on with you, but if you feel in danger, maybe do a short-term stint (the people do in crisis situations)!. But don't go if you don't really need therapy; it won't make you happy if you're not!.

But if there is no crisis, I would concentrate on paying down debt ASAP!.

Being debt-free is WONDERFUL for one's sense of well-being!.

Most county health programs charge on a sliding scale!. If you're depressed or have another health condition, it could be preventing you from solving your financial problems!. I would at least see what you'd be charged before writing therapy off all together!. Or perhaps, look into something like Debtor's Anonymous!. It provides both therapy and financial advice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

from experience i can tell you, atleast for me all a therapist did was tell me something i already knew!. i think what makes seeing a therapist makes us feel better is the fact we put forth effort going to see one but really a simple inventory of the mind, mind over matter and being able and ready to do what yu know is right for yourself!. you dont need a therapist in my opinion unless you have serious issues at hand!.
