Techniques to help relax?!


Question: Techniques to help relax!?
Not sure what the deal is, but I have been worrying about everything and can't seem to relax! Any one have any techniques I can do at home to help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

here's one way to completely relax your body and mind that i learned in my psychology course

lay down on a comfy flat surface, on your back
close your eyes and start breathing deeply
with every deep breathe you take, when you ex-hail let your body sink and relax a little more
keep breathing deeply and let your body sink with every ex-hail
after you feel more relaxed, tense you each part of your body starting with your feet
tense it as tightly as you can and hold for a few seconds then release (keeping with deep breathing)
do this a few times then move to the next part of your body
(first feet, then calves, thighs, butt, back , hands, arms, face and then all of your body at once)
this should relax your body alot
after this, start focusing on relaxing thoughts (colors, etc) then once you feel completely relaxed, just let your mind wander


this always helps me relax alot, and even puts me to sleep sometimes

Transcendental meditation works best for me!. Find a flat surface that you can lay down on comfortably and lie down on your back!. Starting with your foot muscles tighten them and hold for the count of ten, then relax the muscle!. Do this tightening and relaxing for each of the muscles all the way up your torso until you have tightened and relaxed your muscles up to and including your neck!. At this point all of your muscles will/should be in the relaxed state!. If you are feeling any muscles that aren't relaxed concentrate on flexing and relaxing that specific muscle until you can get it to relax on command!.

Sure do!. The signature text is "The Relaxation Response," though I forget the author!. It's slim and cheap, so a used bookstore may have it!. I recommend you own this one, by the way!. If your library doesn't have it, check fetchbook!.info--they check Amazon, plus a zillion other choices to get you new and used prices!. That book allowed me to sit, cool as a cucumber, in a small room with my ex- and two lawyers for two hours before they could find a judge for our divorce!. The next step up is "How to Meditate!." The first book helped me to get my breath count to 8 per minute (the norm is 16-18), and at 6-8 breaths/min!.I can induce a hypnotic trance, something amateurs should not fool with unless an assistant is present!. Try these; they work!.

picturing yourself as something or someplace helps!. i see myself as a bird or dolphin and see myself and feel the freedom they have!. swimming or flying in the air!. try it!. it works!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
