You really should have your doctor talk to them!. If you have a seizure before they can speak with your doctor, or if they can't or won't talk to him/her, they should call 911!. The dispatcher should give them instructions - advise them to be sure to stay on the line with 911!. Many people panic and hang up, not realizing the dispatcher can give them life-saving advise!. First, you have my sympathy--you're a person with a potentially harmful problem who just got stuck!. Lemme see if I've got this right--YOU have to tell the docs what's wrong with you, and YOU are responsible for a plan to treat a psychogenic disorder!? What's wrong with this picture!? On what basis were you discharged!? Time or insurance run out!? If so, then there's no grounds to assume these seizures mean nothing, right!? So TELL the caregivers; you wouldn't want to hurt yourself by telling them to not restrain you and ignore you, right!? And by the way, HOW COME THIS "CARE HOME" DOESN'T HAVE A COPY OF YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS!? I presume that by law a doctor should at least be on call or stop by occasionally, so what kind of "care" IS this!? Tell them about your problem and insist that you need a doctor's order for treatment!. If they don't act and you hurt yourself because you're unrestrained, they're in for a fat lawsuit!. You have a specific psychological problem; you are NOT of "unsound mind"
such that others must make all decisions for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you don't know what should be done when you have a seizure, then how can you expect people around you to know what to do!?

YOU need to call your doctor and find out what needs to be done when you have an episode!. It's not other peoples responsibility to find that out for you!. What if you are out with friends and it happens!? Do you think they should all call the doctor to find out what to do too!? No, of course not, you need to know and tell people what to do when it happens, before it happens!.

You should have found out what to do before you left the hospital!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Whatever they do, they don't need to restrain you!. It makes it even worse!. The best thing to do is to make sure you don't harm yourself!. Tell them to give you space but don't try to interfere unless you are trying to harm someone or yourself!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

they should have a plan on it ASAP!. If you dont exactly know, have your doctor write a plan!.

I have seizures but I am only a senior in high school!. Their plan is to just make sure i do not injure myself while i seize and to call 911!. But i get very bad seizures though! But check with your Dr!.!

Hope ya feel better!Www@Answer-Health@Com

as i lifeguard i would mostly have to see what kind of seizure you have, if you have full blown ones then i recommend that your 'carers" dont restrain you but support your head gently so that your dont hit your head on the floor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They need to keep your arms and legs away from anything that you might bump into that could harm you while you're seizing and keep a close eye on you whenever they can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok, tell them to give a call to your psychiatric unit to get details on it!.
