Self harm; my life is going down a tube.?!


Question: Self harm; my life is going down a tube!.!?
Basically, i cut my wrists today and yesterday beause everything is becoming more worse and worse, i think i'm going into a depression!.!. How can i stop it without going to doctors or telling anyone!?

They say you can't but you can, but obviously there is no harm to get some help from other people, even if its a close friend or family

Stopping is easier if you can find other ways of expressing or coping with your feelings!. To do this you need to try to understand what makes you do it!. Lots of people don't know why they hurt themselves so it may be useful to think about:

* What was going on in your life when you first began to harm yourself
* How you feel just before you want to hurt yourself
* Whether you would find it useful to keep a 'mood' diary, writing down your feelings at different times
* Whether you are always in the same place or with a particular person
* If you have any bad memories or thoughts that you can't tell anyone!.

When you feel anxious or upset, doing something you enjoy or trying to think about other things can be a way to help you stop hurting yourself!. You could try:

* Phoning a friend
* Writing down your feelings in a diary
* Listening to music, drawing or reading
* Going for a walk or a run, dancing, exercising or playing sport
* Counting down slowly from 10 to 0
* Breathing slowly, in through the nose and out through the mouth
* Focusing on objects around you and thinking about what they look, sound, smell, taste and feel like!.



If you need help, the first thing to do is to help yourself!.

If you don't want to tell anyone at all not even a close friend
Why not try writing everything of how you feel down onto a paper
Then without rereading it scrunch it up toss it in the bin!.
What is on that paper is your past, slowly it will help you forget the past and focus on the future!.

If this is too negative for you!.
Write a list of all the GOOD things that you have
pin it on the wall or keep it somewhere safe,
add things to it everyday
little things that make you happy
things you don't really consider to be happy
when really they are!.

This is a serious problem!. There is no stopping without anyone finding out!. Go to the doctor!. See a therapist!. Everything you say with him is confidential!. You can tell people your insurance is forcing you to go, they don't have to know! In fact, they don't have to know that you're going at all!

If the problem is you're a minor and don't want to talk to your parents, just tell them you want to see a doctor!. Tell them you don't want to talk about the reason why!. When you're more comfortable, maybe then you'll open up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i was in high school, people would tell me that my emotions would get the better of me, and i'd scream back at them that they had no idea what i was going throuh!.!.

8 years later, i feel as though they were indeed correct!. there's just something different in your body at that time that makes you feel out of place and insignificant!. you'll feel this way maybe til you're 23 or 24!. then you'll be able to look back and wonder what you were whining about!. though you may also realize that you're no longer creative as you once were, or as forgiving and loving of the world!.

i know that's not what you want to hear!. but i assure you that whatever it is that makes you feel lost, is the very thing that makes you!. it may be painful to live sometimes, but there are outlets for these things!. live on!. aren't you curious about how it all ends!? you won't find out if you don't wait for it!.
