Question: New on Medicaid, mood disorders, psychiatrist!?
Ok!. I am a dirt poor 30 year old female, with one daughter who is two!. Anyways, I have just been accepted for healthcare with medicaid, and you can go to their choice of psychiatrist if you need one!. Well, something mental is wrong with me, and I just want a psychiatrist to find out what it is rather than the family doctor because he just doesn't seem to know much about mental problems!. Anyways I heard from a friend that if you go to a psychaitrist they will take away your child because you are crazy!. Is this true!? should I cancel my appt!. and just use my regular doctor!? I don't hurt my daughter, I love her, I just don't want them to take her away because I need mental help!. Let me know what you think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I see a psychiatrist and I'm on Medicaid and no ones taken my dagger from me!. As long as you aren't hurting or neglecting her no one will have grounds for taking her away from you!. In fact the fact that you're reaching out is in your favor as someone who wants to make sure that you're in good health to take care of your daughter!. They will not take your daughter away if you are seeing a psychiatrist!.

Lots of people see a psychiatrist!. you won't get your kids taken away unless you are found insane and can't take care of yourself or her!. Don't cancel your appointment!. And you can always fight it if they take away your kid!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
That is absolutely not true!. They can only take away your child if they can prove in front of a judge that you are unfit to care for her!. I have been in the system for almost ten years and I have met countless women who have kids!. If your house is a disaster, if you forget to feed her or change her diapers, they will have a reason to take away your child!. They can't do it just because you went to a psychiatrist!. If anything, they would want to have you get treatment so you can get better and be really on the ball when it comes to taking care of your daughter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
