Question: Is there a way to know if someone's thinking of suicide!?
I'm scared my friend might try to hurt herself!. She often jokes about it, then says she wouldn't, that she's not serious!. I know that she's depressed, everyone does!. I try to talk to her and stuff, but she just ignores me, or runs or anything to avoid talking to people about her feelings!. I don't know if I can, or should do something!. I can't tell the guidance counsellor at school, because she's on leave and they're out at some confrence!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes your first instinct might be right!. I have lost a close friend that was depressed and on the outside he hid the feeling well, but i knew that under the surface he was depressed!. I tried to talk to him, but he insist that he was fine!. Two weeks later, he killed myself using pain medications that he somehow got!. The guilt I feel is extreme!. I had this feeling, but I didn't do anything!. My only advice is to talk to her and try to see of she would do you a favor and see a therapist or doctor!. Yes, you could run the risk of overreacting, but what if she really needs help!. There is no harm in trying to help!. If you don't think you can help, talk to someone who can help!. Joking about suicide isn't taken lightly!. Please have her talk to someone!.

Consider calling the suicide hotline (link is below)!. They'll tell you how to help her, and also help you!. Having a depressed, suicidal friend is difficult for you, too!. They will help both of you!. Call them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Maybe tell her U know she is depressed, and get on anti-depressants!. I know what it is like to want to die from being depressed!. I sure wish I could talk to her :O( Maybe u or her could email me!. Hugs to u!. Your a good friend!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
