Should i get help? what will happen if i do? ?!

Question: Should i get help!? what will happen if i do!? !?
I have recently become obsessive about weight loss!. ive lost an extreme amount of weight (78 pounds) in under 6 months because of excessive exercise ( 4-5 hours a day) and a low cal diet that has destroyed my body and mind!. i think about calories and food all the time to the extent that i cant concentrate on anything else!. im loosing control of my bladder (sounds funny, isn't when your 16) im cold all the time, constipated, resisting urges to purge 24/7, abusing laxatives, and my bones and muscles ache all the time!. i tryed to help myself but i just cry uncontrollably when i cant exercise!. i have self harmed in the past and i am scared if i go down that route again, i wont get better!. so i want to get help but not for an eating disorder, i have a bmi of 17!.8 and it has to be 17!.5 to be an ED!. but yeah if i go to a doctor and tell them that what will they do!? will they make me gain weight!? what will they say to me!?

You are aware of your situation and the potential difficulties that can develop, this is a real good place to begin!

If you can exert that much control with your eating why not engage that in more positive ways to reduce the exercise gradually and introduce healthy, nutritious snacks (nuts, fruit raw veg etc) so gradually you get some balance back!. The extreme exercise will be producing so much adrenalin and you are likely not breathing properly which will increase the levels of carbon dioxide!.!.!. all contributing to the real NEGATIVE energy you must have been feeling about yourself prior to all this kicking off!

Only you know what the reason for feeling so bad is, the weight and exercise are just a symptom!. If you really want to have a happy and worthwhile life trust you will find the right person/treatment and the will power to overcome this difficult time!.

Best wishes and love to you from me!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you should seek help immediately!. If you see a competent doctor or psychologist, you'll be on the right track!. You can't rely on your own resources right now!. In the meantime, try to pray and ask God for healing!. By talking to someone you trust, you won't be worse off than you're now, only better!. Remember that all is possible and don't give up!. xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

I am so sorry that you are having these problems!. I used to work as a Registered Nurse on adult and adolescent psychiatric units for 20 years!. I know that you don't want to be treated for an eating disorder but that is what you have!. You have anorexia and you need treatment for it!. The reason that you don't want to gain weight is because you are anorexic!.

You have an illness that can be successfully treated!. You need to learn about and practice Assertiveness and you will probably need to be on an antidepressant also!. You should be treated by a psychologist or psychiatrist that has experience treating people with eating disorders!.

Unless your life is in danger, you will probably not be put in a hospital!. Anorexia is best treated on an outpatient basis whenever possible as that is the most successful type of treatment!.

My heart goes out to you honey!. I have had several patients that had anorexia and I have a 30 y/o niece that had anorexia when she was a teenager!. She is fine now!. God bless you!. God loves you and wants to help you!. For some reason he gives us more help if we ask for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best thing about what you've shared is that you acknowledge you have a problem and that it's getting out of control!. This is the first step in getting help but you need to do it fast don't let this situation deteriorate any further!.

At age 16 your body needs all the help it can get from good healthy food and a balanced diet!. Your body hasn't stopped developing and growing yet!. If you don't get help now you will be seriously affected later on in life!.

Do yourself a favour and talk to your doctor and be as open and honest as you can explain the whole thing and get some support ASAP!.

Take lots of care and I hope all goes well!.
