Answers:
Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc!.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc!.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level!.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication!. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac!. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings!. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac!. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc!.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced!.!.!. you have that "learned behavior" in your mind!. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this!. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction!.!.!. There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to!.!.!.!.

Your therapist may not be trained to deal with the specifics of stress and anxiety, and you may want to find a new one!.

Where I live we have a therapist that specifically advertises on the radio about helping with these issues!. So, while it's a relatively new area of treatment in psychology, there are specialists out there that can help!.

There's also the "Midwest Center for Stress and anxiety" at: http://www!.stresscenter!.com/

But that program is pretty pricey!. You can sometimes find a good used one they sell on Ebay!. I've heard some people swear by it, but who knows!.

Also, a good diet, and exercise (but not to excess) are always helpful!.

Best wishes to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Been through it myself, I had to change therapist and doctors 5 times, to get a therapist I like and a doctor to put me on the right medication, feel great now!. IF YOU DO NOT TAKE MEDICATION YOUR PROBLEMS WILL GET WORSE, they are temporary, and all this will pass in time with the right help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't matter that you're rationally aware it's not real!. It's based in fear and irrational feelings, not reasoning!. So focus on getting the fear down by being conscious of your body's position!. Try to keep your hands relaxed and open, keep your teeth unclenched, get full breaths, and purposely move your body as though you're relaxed!. It'll send a message to your "alarm system" that's falsely going off in your brain!. Make a deal with yourself that you'll only let yourself worry about health problems for 15 minutes a day!. If you worry at any other time, stop and force yourself to do something else or wait until that specific time!. Worrying won't do anything positive for your health; in fact, it can affect you negatively!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
