I had panic attacks for years!. The only thing that helped me was God!. I would go out to places by myself and just know that he was going to take care of me!. The thing is, even when you feel panicky and your heart is racing, you won't die and the attack will end!. I read my Bible and learned about trusting God!. Panic attacks usually begin as a result of some trauma you have gone through!. Later, even though there is no emergency situation, your mind and body react as though there was!. You're not alone!. Many people get them for a time!. The best thing to do is take care of yourself physically and face your fears!. Hiding from things only convinces our mind that there is a reason to be afraid!. Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc!.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc!.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level!.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication!. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac!. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings!. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac!. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc!.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced!.!.!. you have that "learned behavior" in your mind!. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this!. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction!.!.!. There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to!.!.!.!.

There are many things you can do to overcome panic attacks!. First of all, take a look at your diet and see if it includes a lot of sugar and highly refined foods (bread, pasta, etc)!. This can lead to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) which can also bring about panic attacks!. Make sure you eat enough protein and eat complex carbohydrates (whole grains) to ensure that your blood sugar remains stable without the high peaks and low drops that are caused by sugar!.

I believe it's also a matter of identifying the thoughts and reactions that are behind your fears!. Try to look at the thoughts you are having when you start to feel anxious!.!.!. try to separate from them and see them as only thoughts!. You are not your thoughts!.

A lot of it has to do with self-talk!. When you enter into an anxious situation, what are you saying to yourself!? Most people that are in an anxiety attack says things like "I can't handle this" or "I'm going to lose it"!.!.!. instead, try to reassure yourself by saying that you will be okay and that you can handle the situation!.

Proper breathing is also important!. Make sure you're breathing from your abdomen and not only from your upper chest!.

There are so many factors that can help you feel better and overcome this! My small attempt here can be greatly supplemented by a book that really helped me get through anxiety:

'The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook' by Edmund J!. Bourne

Check your library or maybe you can find it used!. I wish you well!.

*Try not to let the odd sensations in your body make you feel like you're going crazy, because you're not!. Anxiety can produce many odd sensations in the body, that's all it is!. Don't let it worry you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it gets bad enough where it is interfering with your life, you could also go into a mental hospital!. I did for the same reason and they got me started on some meds and I just felt safe in there!. I wasn't and still am not 100% better a month later but I go to school and work and have been able to live my life!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had same problem, when I had panic attack I always go outside and try to relax and deep breath!.!. and don't thinkin about panic attack, some people told me that my body need drink water a lot so I drank it a lot with water and I am pretty okay after that!. and or talk to some one that you will forget about your panic attack!. or get your medicane or talk to your doctor about it!?!.!.!. I always try calm down myself and relax!.!.!.!. don't think about panic attack or it's will kept bother you!.!.!. just relax!.!.and listen music!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
