Hello Markyedoodle,

I am a pharmacy technician, all anti-depressants should be taken at bedtime!. Usually anti-depressants need to be adjusted, to the level you may require, and it may end up that taking them in the morning will work better for you if you find that taking them at bedtime might keep you awake, it's really your body that will adjust!. You can start to notice a difference on the way you feel after about 2 to 3 weeks, as your body will start to absorb the medication and work with your chemical imbalance, or any stress and anxiety you may have!. You may have some headaches & or dizziness & drowsiness when you first start taking the medication, but these are some side effects!.!.!.!.that will go away soon!.
Take care!. Lashes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should always take Paxil in the morning!

I am a student nurse and many patients at work are taking them!. I look on their drug charts and they're almost always prescribed for morning dosing!. Occasionally the dose is split AM/PM but that's only if it's a very high dose!.

Some SSRIs dont matter as much as others, because they have longer half lives!.

Hope this helps!. Good luck with your depression or anxiety!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your Doctor should have told you whether to take it in the morning or at night, if you want to start it tonight, perhaps try talking to a pharmacist & ask them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
