Hi, Im seeing a psychiatrist for severe depression and anxiety!. My next appointment isnt for 3 months!. This is way too long for me to cope on my own but I dont want to ask for a sooner appointment!. Im just wondering if any of you have seen psychiatrists for this type of problem, how often did you see them!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I go once a week!. I would go more often but insurance won't allow it!. Three months in between is too long for someone who is suffering from severe depression!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Call for another appointment sooner or ask the shrink for a counselor's name, someone you can see weekly, rather than seeing the shrink more frequently!. Shrinks love to do the pill fix, while a psychologist or a counselor will do therapeutic discussion with youWww@Answer-Health@Com
ive never heard of a psychiatrist office where you have to wait 3 months for an appt!. thats not right, you should try looking into another office and go once a week
