Answers:
A lot of performers use beta blockers for stage fright!. The effect is almost immediate!.
If you are not receiving any benefit by now they are not for you!. They do carry danger to them, especially for long term use!. For those who need them, like people with HBP, the benefits out way the harm they do!.

It takes about a month to notice any effect and the full effect takes about two months to occur!. Depending on the result, then the dosage can be adjusted for another two months!. The drugs do not cure the anxiety, they only help you to endure it easier!. The drugs are for temporary use, so you need to learn to manage your anxiety so that you can eventually stop the medication!. With consciously learned technique, the transient anxieties that we all experience from time to time will no longer be a problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should feel the effects as soon as you take the first pill!. Many times people will only take these drugs once in a while when they are doing something that causes them extreme anxiety such as flying on a plane or giving a speech in public!. My experience with these drugs is that the dosage they prescribe for anxiety are too low to really make a difference with severe anxiety!. They can't give someone with a healthy cardiovascular system too much because it can make your blood pressure and heart rate dangerously low!. When I actually got older and got hypertension I was put on a dose of propranolol roughly 5 or 6 times higher than what I used to took for anxiety!. That really seemed to work well but it also dropped my blood pressure by 25 or 30 points!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i was prescribed beta blockers for anxiety!. i get really nervous about flying and had beta blockers for that!. they weren't great though!. they relieved the physical symptoms such as increased heart rate and sweating but the psychological symptoms were still there!. i was still absolutely terrified about the flight, but just didn't have a rapid heart rate because of it!. beta blockers regulate the heart rate but don;t stop your mind freaking out!. best thing for that is to see a therapist and as a last resort take anti-anxiety drugs/anti-depressants!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc!.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc!.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level!.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication!. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac!. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings!. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac!. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc!.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced!.!.!. you have that "learned behavior" in your mind!. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this!. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction!.!.!. There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to!.!.!.!.
