Cant sleep. Too many thoughts. ...scared?!


Question: Cant sleep!. Too many thoughts!. !.!.!.scared!?
okay, so I was suffering from a little insomnia about a month ago, ive always had a problem staying or falling asleep, but this is the worst its ever ever been!.

I thought maybe it was my futon, it was really uncomfortable!.
Then i went out and bought a brand new matress and GOD its comfortable, but i cant SLEEP!.
I have repetative dreams that give me headaches in the middle of the night, racing thoughs as if i just took sudafed!
when i take sudafed!.!.!.!.!.!.its awful!. my thoughts race through my mind, i toss and turn, its like my body has all this energy in my sleep,
but not its like this all the time, i cant fall asleep until real late, and more then half the time i cant stay asleep, and i wake up every hour on the hour!.
ive tried taking medication, nothing works, i tried exercising, that didnt work!.
ive tried eating before bed, that didnt work, i tried NOT eating before i went to bed that didnt work, hot showers, cold showers, no showers, nothing works!
and the worst part is, My dreams are nightmares, and alot of them are about work, bc i have a job that i absolutely despise, and its a cashier job, and i have dreams that everyone leaves the store open and they all leave and im just standing there cashiering for hrs and hrs and hrs and the people dont stop coming through my line, or ill have dreams that im in a weird building with no doors or windows, and when i do find a way out, something doesnt let me!.

I have huge bags under my eyes!.!.i look awful!.

people say its because im stressed, that could be it!.!.!.
i am really stressed out!.

I am having huge financial problems, a HORRIBLE job!. ( i really want to express the horrible)
I have NO friends, I dont do anything fun or exciting, Im broke!.
My boyfriends so busy i barely see him anymore!.
every day is the same!.!.!.

I dont know if this Bs has anything to do with the horrible nightmares and non sleeping!.!.!.!. thats the thing that pisses me off, when i do actually sleep, its a nightmare of some sort,
I finally get to sleep around 5 Am, and then i wake up at 10!.
My back is all sore and my body feels weak!.

Fisher of the Midwest Center for Anxiety and Depression !.!.!. ever see their commercials on TV and Radio !.!.!. and it also sounds like you live in Connecticut and can't get control of life!.!.!.!.things I can relate to continually, every time I come here and have no where else to go for escape !.!.!. when I did live in the Indiana and Pennsylvania, I had hope of being able to get out of here and it helped !.!.!. now I've been here for 6 years !.!.!. I shop for my elderly parents and sell on Ebay and know that I have limitations on what I can achieve, so, I had to figure out what I CAN hope to have and conquer in my life !.!.!. one thing YOU DON'T need is EVERYTHING that Everyone else HAS to be happy !.!.!. Everyone HERE in CT is busy !.!.!. trying to GET or KEEP these things they THINK they need !.!.!. there are only three (3) things we need !.!.!. 1) FOOD 2) Clothing & 3) Shelter !.!.!. unfortunately, these seem to be more and more costly !.!.!. everyday !.!.!. but we DON'T need the latest styles that Madison Ave!. says we need !.!.!. I put together some nice outfits, cheaply !.!.!. it may sound corny but counting the good things we DO have and being thankful may be hard but, is needful, and looking at "one day at a time" putting the PAST & PRESENT together can make the mind race around !.!.!. the FUTURE is still a concept and cannot be lived YET!.!.!.it's looks scarry, but is it!? one step at a time !.!.!. the Universe has a way of taking care of itself and you !.!.!.!. people who have or seem to have a lot are scared, too !.!.!. of losing what they have !.!.!. but if you have little, just FOOD , clothing and shelter !.!.!. thats something to be thankful for !.!.!. to be GREEDy for more and more is something we don't need !.!.!. then we have more to be scared of losing !.!.!. you only came into the world with a bare bottom and no diaper, so your parents had to furnish the diaper!.!.!.this country will not let you go around with a bare bottom, so that you will get arrested!.!.!.now, don't try to get arrested so as to be able to wear an orange jump suit, now!.!.!.your job seems stressful, I don't thing I woud want it, but you have it, so maybe you are worry to much about what others are thinking or saying about you or about you be responsible to much for the company, others are involved, too, to don't take it all upon yourself !.!.!. these are easy to say and may take time to practice, but they will help !.!.!. if you need a friend to talk with email me at favoredunkle@gmail!.com !.!.!. and if you answer this I could give you my cell # for those nights that are hard !.!.!. let me know!.!.!.!. Melynda T!. Hon have you ever invited Jesus Christ into your heart!. If not please do so!. It sounds to me like you are being attacked from within!. It also sounds like you need a career change!. aww i am sorry i went trough the same thing a few years ago!.
So i know the feeling!.
Since you have already tried everything, i can only recommend you to go to sleep as early as possible!.
Try this:
Go to bed around 6pm!.
By the time its 11pm you will asleep promise
but only IF you turn everything off (tv, computer, lights) just as if 6pm was your regular bed time!.
Once your body gets used to shutting off at 11pm or so
you will no longer need to go to bed at 6pm!.
Becuase what is happening right now (other then the medical explanation to your problem) is that your body is used to the process of shutting off (or falling asleep) at 5am, so it will continue to do so!.
In the mean time just relax if you cant sleep, the more you over think and worry the less your body will be able to relax and sleep!.
Good luck and take it easy, life is to short!. Try and find a better job!. Try being a waitress fro example, its really fun, you get to meet a lot of people and it will keep your mind occupied at work!.!.!. So you wont get so bored or stressed thinking of other things going on =)

You should really have this evaluated at a Sleep Clinic!. Perhaps there is something they can do to help you!. Sleep deprivation is perhaps the worst torture!. I have a friend with aphnea and he is miserable!. Dunno if your condition is medical or psychological but seek help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Slow down girl! Take a deep breath!. I think once you deal with some of your issues, sleep will happen!.

I struggle with sleep myself!. Sometimes I think it's a head game with myself!. The more I worry about it, the more I get worked up and the more I can't sleep!. Try to relax about it!. You will not die today or tomorrow if you don't sleep!.

First I think you should deal with your financial problems!. Maybe some financial counseling or maybe you need to get another job!.

Second!. The boyfriend!. Find out why he doesn't have time for you!.

Third!. Everyone needs friends! Or at least one!. Try to find a coworker or maybe a family member you can talk to and do things with!.

Fourth!. Start exercising!. It may not help you sleep, but it will make you feel better about yourself!.

And last but not least, try to remember everything is not about you!. There are people in this world who have real problems, illness etc!. Maybe you need to volunteer some of your time!. This will help you get your mind off all of your problems and who knows!? You might make some friends along the way!. Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com

My my!. You are stress my dear and you need to find out why a cashier job would give you such nightmares!. Go look for a job that doesn't involve cashier!. Your aching body is a sign of chronic fatigue!. In the pass have you experience and truamatic stress!? This could be why you have nightmares!. I think a good DR!. is what you need to go talk to!. He or she could probaly get to the bottom of your no sleep!. Sounds like a disorder due to your past in your childhood!. I wish the best for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to spice up your life a little bit!. it sounds like your depressed!. i suggest going out and getting some friends, maybe from work (that might make your job better) or just from anywhere!. try and focus on the positives and you wont have nightmares!.
have you tried benedryl!? like 3-4 of them usually knocks me out but idk if you've already tried it becaue you said you had meidcation!.
