I used to get the same thing - it's very normal to experience this!. It's your body's primitive reaction to being woken - from when we didn't have civilisation and were at threat from animals or other humans!.!.!.
So you wake up and you can't get back to sleep!.!.!. the key here is to relax!. If something wakes you, either get up and get a drink, go back to bed ten minutes later and relax, or, just lie there and think of how comfortable it is to be in bed!.

The most useful thing I found is to concentrate on my breathing, to slow down my heart rate!. I learnt it from a friend that did yoga!. Then I took up yoga and that helped too!.

If you want to try the breathing, you do it like this:
breathe in slowly for count of 4 through the nose, hold the breath for count of 2, breathe out for count of 4 through your mouth, hold for 2, repeat but next time do the holds for 3, then repeat with the holds for 4!. So you should be doing in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4, in for 4 and so on!.!.!.

Force your body to relax while you're doing this!.

I think the way it works is that when you are woken, adrenalin rushes through your body!. If you slow down your breathing, your body realises the adrenalin isn't needed!. It metabolises the adrenalin and your body then relaxes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is normal!. I hate being disturbed in the middle of the night!. If you have to share a room with someone else, try earplugs or move to another room is possible to try to avoid being woken up!. If it is members in your family waking you up and you have your own room, try putting music on low or a fan to try to mask sounds that might wake you up during the middle of the night!. When you are sleeping your body goes through phases of sleep and if the sleep cycle is interrupted it can take hours sometimes to get back to sleep!. Avoid the disturbances and you should be able to sleep peacefully!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think maybe you release hormones like adrenalin so your body will be able to move quickly!. When you've been asleep longer your body also releases chemicals that stop you moving which maybe stop this over-reaction when you've been fully asleep

It could be a sign that you are very stressed in your waking hours or that you're not getting enough sleep at the right time of night!. If you're having a lot of anxiety it might be helpful to get some advice from your doctor!. Also, maybe you could learn some meditation techniques so you're not in such a hyped state when you go off to sleep

well i think it maybe sort of normal!. caue i know when i wake up and hear my alarm i freak out and hit it so hard i almost smash it!. but i think thats caue it makes the most god awfel sound ever!. it is like a mysquitoe buzzing in your ear!. so i guess it is sort of normalWww@Answer-Health@Com

anything that jolts you awake, you will always find it hard to go back to sleep!. your heart rate is up, blood rapidly pumping through your veins!. you need to calm yourself down (slow deep breaths) before your body is ready to go back to sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If I fall asleep in my chair in the evening before I go to bed formally, I have a hard time falling asleep in my bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on your state of mind!. If you're relaxed, you won't have trouble sleeping!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
