Do I have caffeine addiction? ?!

Question: Do I have caffeine addiction!? !?
I've been taking caffeine pills to keep from being tired at work!. The bottle says "safe as coffee"!. Everyone else drinks coffee, but I hate coffee, so I figured I'd just take a pill instead!.

This past saturday I didn't take a pill and I was very irritable!. I've also been really lethargic lately!.

Do you think I'm addicted to caffeine!? Should I quit taking the pills!?

Are they lying when they say "safe as coffee"!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
yes you can be addicted to caffeine and it sounds like you are!.

while the bottle says the pills are safe, there are much better ways to obtain energy!.!.!. exercise, water!.!.!. or so they say!.

but, i would be a hypocrite/liar if i told you that i just exercised and drank water alone for energy!.!.!. because even though i do both of those things i am still a caffeine addict myself!. ;)

as for stopping the pills!.!.!. i honestly wouldn't take them!.!.!. i try to just stick with prescribed meds and tylenol!. but, that's just me!. it's up to you, really!. maybe you'll get some better answers for that one!.

Caffeine is a stimulant, so too much of it CAN cause problems!. You're supposed to limit your coffee intake to less than 15 ounces per day!. Think about it!.!.!.most coffee servings are probably 6-8 ounces, so if you're supposed to stay below 15 ounces, that means you should limit your concumption to two cups of coffee per day!. I'm not sure what your pills are the equivalent of -- one cup of coffee!? two!? I can tell you that excessive use of caffeine pills CAN cause problems, including tremors and heart palpitations and some neurological disturbances!. So be careful with them!.

However, the good news is that caffeine has a half-life of 3-12 hours!. This means that generally speaking, caffeine will flush itself out of your system within 24 hours!. You WILL have a headache and possibly feel sluggish and lethargic, but withdrawal usually lasts no more than a day or two!. Of all the addictions out there, it's probably the easiest one to beat!. Use a painkiller like Advil to get you through the worst of the withdrawal headaches and drink tons of water!. Within a day or two, you should feel fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah, I mean you know your own body better than anyone else!. If you are feeling withdrawal symptoms then you are definitely addicted to caffeine!. You should quit taking the pills, because there are long term affects associated with over indulgence in caffeine (Google them!.!.!.)!. I would say that it is a lie that they are "safe as coffee"!. I also think that taking the pills is "easier" than drinking coffee, so it's easier to exceed the recommended dose!.

I don't think they are lying about it not being safe as coffee!.

Maybe try to not take them for a week, and see how you feel!.

Try eating an apple, they say an apple will give you as much energy as having a couple cups of coffee!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For health cautious reasons please try not to take them!.!.!. It would be safer if they were prescribed from a doctor, rather than you taking them just alone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
