Cry, be sad, think about all the things you will miss about the person!. I didn't do this and held my grief in after my mother died and it came back to bite me in the ***!. I have severe anxiety and panic b/c my body could not hold it in anymore!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Allow yourself to grieve -- to go through the stages of grief in whatever order they may come: denial, anger, bargaining (usually with your higher power something like "If you'll do X, then I'll be a better son, parent, etc,") depression and acceptance!. These stages often come out of order, sometimes two and three at a time, let them come!. Talk to someone when you need to talk, cry when you need to cry and don't be afraid to show your feelings!. Beyond that, do what feels right for you!. You will know what is right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No one can really give advice for a question like this other then talk with someone!. All i can say is its hard!. Life will spin you around in circles but you have to put your foot down and take controll!. never forget the person!. always remember them!. but remember the positive things!. wanna talk just msg meWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well straight after it's happened it's good to let it all out & cry or do whatever you feel like!. Everyone grieves differently so just do whatever feels right for you (as long as it's not something that is damaging to you or anyone else, like drinking to the point of alcoholism, etc!)!.

I have experienced alot of grief quite young with no grandparents while growing up as they'd all died & with my father dying when I was a teenager & my mother dying when I was 28!. For me I always think of them positively as that is what they would want me to do, instead of being sad!. People who have died would want us to live on & be happy & not let their deaths drag us down!. If I feel sad about them not being here I shed a tear or two but then think, what would they want me to do!? If they were watching now (& they may well be, depending on what your beliefs about that are) they would want me to think of happy times with them & to then get on with my day & do something productive or something that makes me happy!.

Also sometimes if I'm in a situation where maybe I have a friend that is treating me badly & has been for a long time or maybe I'm in a job where I've been mistreated & there's not much I can do about it because of complicated workplace politics or maybe I have no witnesses & can't prove anything, etc - I think, what would they (whichever relative has died) think about this!? If they were watching now, they'd think, you deserve better than that, you should quit that job/or stay in the interim but find another one straight away or you should tell that friend what you think of them treating you badly & if they don't shape up then ditch them!. I find that helps too!. In that way it's like the deceased person is still part of your life & is still looking out for you!.

For me I also found it helped to read books about near death experiences & books by mediums about life after death (of course some mediums are fake, but I do beleive there are genuine ones who have given concrete proof to people about their loved ones - like they may have told someone things they couldn't possibly know unless they really were speaking to the person's deceased relative)!. I find that comforting but of course it still doesn't replace the fact that your loved one is no longer here in the physical!.

I think all things happen for a reason & that people who have died have died because for whatever reason it was their time to go!. Which can be hard to understand if the person who has died is not elderly!.
