Avoiding depression at a call center job?!

Question: Avoiding depression at a call center job!?
I've been working at a call center for almost two years (NOT telemarketing), and I am currently looking for a new job!. I should have found another job a long time ago, because now the economy is crap and it's harder than ever!. I want to just quit, just leave and never come back!. Every day I dread going into work, I hate being there, I HATE the people I have to talk to on the phone! It's making me physically unhealthy and is taking a huge emotional toll!. And the thing is, for the past few weeks I've been getting interviews for other jobs, but nothing comes of them!. So, I'm even more depressed going into work because of the disappointment in not getting these other jobs!. I keep thinking, "This should have been the week I started a new job!. I shouldn't be here!" Sigh!. I know this was a major rant, but I needed to get it out!. Anyone going through a similar situation!? How do you cope with the stress/depression!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I was!. I worked in the customer service division for the biggest pay TV company (I can't mention names - they sue)!. Here is what I did:

1) Took some time off!. I used this time to decide what I wanted to do, and I made two big decisions: a) what I wanted to achieve in my life, and b) what I could do to achieve these goals!.

2) During this time I saw an ad in the paper for a University course for teaching - I thought 'I'd love that!' and applied (and got in)!.

3) I did try to accommodate work and study but found I couldn't!. I quit my job, and now get nearly as much money through Centrelink to study with little stress and enjoying life then what I would have gotten keeping my job and more stress!

Now life is rosy!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Getting depressed is an "inside job"!. It comes from inside you, not from your job!. It's like a miracle: everything changes if you are able to reach out to those you are working with or talking to instead of thinking about yourself all the time!. The great psychologist, Car Jung, said,"Nothing changes until you have a spiritual transformation!." That means, nothing outside of you will have any effect until your inner self (your attitude) changes!. And none of us out here can help you with that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
