Get admitted to a mental hospital if he/she heard voices telling them not to eat, would that be seen as a danger to him/herself!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it got to an extreme point where the individual was "on the brink of death" then yes, they would be considered a danger to themselves!.
But, in most cases, early intervention can prevent the hospitalization in the first place!. Ex: I was extremely paranoid/hallucinating and refused all food and drink!. I had to go to the ER for dehydration but I was put on medication and I didn't have to be involuntarily committed because I was a "danger" to myself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It all depends where you live!. I have seen a million doctors and some of them said I am schizophrenic and some said schizoaffective, but whatever, I hear voices, that is true!. Where I live they will not take you into the hospital because you hear voices telling you not to eat!. I had voices telling me worse stuff then that and had many other psychotic symptoms and they made me wait 6 weeks to see a doctor and they would not let me in the hospital when my family dragged me down there because I was hallucinating and had paranoid delusions!. The only way they will take you in the mental hospital where I live is if you actually try to kill yourself!. Not if you are thinking about it, not if you want to do it, only if you try to do it!. I have been in the mental hospital a million times and they turned me away every time except for the times that I overdosed on pills and one time when I tried to hang myself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Are you-they or diagnosed is the first thing!. Voices can appear from a number of things besides schizophrenia!.
Having said that!. It depends a great deal on the whole of the persons state of mind and the degree to which they feel they MUST obey those commands to starve themselves!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. You have to eat in order to live,so therefore if you don't eat then your hurting your well being!. Right!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
If I heard voices telling me not to eat!.!.!.!. I would see a therapist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
