I have no goals, but I don't know how to find some?!


Question: I have no goals, but I don't know how to find some!?
I've just started college and I don't like it much!. I'm noticing that I'm losing motivation, I hate getting up in the morning to go out to college!.
I've tried looking up some motivation techniques, but it hasn't helped because it's talking about goals and stuff!.
I don't have any goals!. I don't know what I wanna be in the future, I don't want to be anything!.!.!. o__O

I need help in finding goals!. Any ideas please!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may be that continuing in education is not for you!.
You need to think about yourself and what you want your life to be like!. Turn off the TV, computer, Ipod, etc, close your eyes and just think!. Picture yourself in 10 or 20 years time!. Where do you want to be and what do you want to be doing!? Then think what you will need to have done to get there!.
You may decide that you don't want to stay at college, and that you'd be better of in a job where you can receive training whilst you work!. But do think about it carefully, and do the right thing for YOU!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you hate college so much that its making you unhappy, then perhaps you need to consider leaving!. I know this is a big and daunting step, but if you're unhappy you may end up dropping out even furthur down the line or doing badly in your courses!.

Im sure you have things that you enjoy doing, or things you enjoy being around!. Making a list of these may help you to figure out what sort of career you want to aim for!. For example, if you like being around children you could consider a career in childcare or teaching!. If you like animals, maybe become a vet nurse etc etc!.

Once you've decided an area you'd like to work in you'll know what you need to do to get there!.

Not everyone has a clear idea of who they want to be though hun!. Lol, I know I've had trouble sorting myself out! If you really feel you're not ready to make big decisions about your future dont feel you have to force yourself!. It will only lead to greater unhappiness down the line!. You can also do some casual work or a bit of travel to help you figure out who you are!.

Keeping a diary/journal can help you to clarify your thoughts and figure out what type of person you are!.

I think asking on here is a good start but I think you'd find talking to a Connexions advisor really helpful, or if not your college careers advisor!.

Sounds like a bit of a blue phase!.
Don't sweat the long-term poop if it's making you feel bad considering it!. Just try your best day to day!. Even getting out of bed is a goal in and of itself!. (I often consider it a triumph of will when I'm brushing my teeth ready for work)!.

Screw long-term if you're having trouble getting out of bed!. Focus on the here and now to get it done!. Get up, study, reward yourself for your efforts!. (I used to buy myself a coffee and a danish if I'd managed to get a decent amount of study done in the morning)!.
