Question: Zoloft question - just started feeling a little down!.!?
I started on 25mg for the first two weeks!. This is now day 4 on the 50mgs!. I am taking this medicine for Anxiety/panic attack disorder!.
And i have to say i feel a little down!. Is this normal!? I am not a depressed person so this worries me!.

Please let me know if this is normal in the beginning!. And also if you have had success on Zoloft please share your story!.

Answers:
It is normal!. This is because your brain chemistry is changing and acommodating itself to the medication!. Many times the use of antidepressants such as Zoloft actually cause people to feel extremely dizzy, to faint, or to feel sleepy!. It should go away in a week, if it doesn't, you should speak to your doctor about changing the dosage or prescribing another medication!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

That "blah" feeling is a side effect of the Zoloft and you should not be having it!. It's kind of like nothing makes you happy but it doesn't really bother you either!. This happens in less than 2% of people who take antidepressants but if you are one of those people you need to see a good psychiatrist with a full resume who can write you medications that are used for depression but may be "off-label" medicines!. This does not mean the medicines are not FDA regulated just that they are primarily used for another medical problem but have been found to be helpful with depression as well!. I cannot remember the name of this condition but my psychiatrist told me about it so I know it is a real feeling and it does interfere with your life just like depression does!. My husband actually preferred me angry or sad over the total lack of emotion I felt when experiencing this!. Get with your Dr!. and address it!. Good Luck!

As an FYI Zoloft has also been found in some studies to be a booster for bipolar!. So basically if you are already predisposed to it but have never had it then Zoloft can be the trigger that causes it to become full blown!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

How old are you!? I know in younger people this is one of the side effects!. I knew someone who started Zoloft and it made him feel so down he eventually tried to commit suicide (this is VERY unlike him) I have read in many places it can cause this effect in teenagers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Talk to your doctor right away - antidepressants can have unpredictable side effects - especially if you are in your teens!. Some teens can even feel suicidal sometimes!.

If you feel like that talk to someone RIGHT AWAY (parents, doctor, 911)

I don't mean to scare you but Zoloft is a strong drug!. Be safe!.

please !!!!!! read the second paragraph in the linkWww@Answer-Health@Com

that is normal,
so dont worry!.

i took it for depression,
it helped me very well
