Answers:
Yes, they do!. I've seen people who were admitted to hospital in such severe depression they had become mute, weren't eating, etc and they recovered!. So believe you will get better, I know it's hard but you must have that thought!.

Certainly they can do!. I have been depressed for the majority of the last 6 years since graduating from university!. For such a long time I felt lost and overwhelmed, sad and lonely!. Nothing mattered to me!. I hit absolute rock bottom a couple of years ago!.!.!.

Now I'm slowly bouncing back up!. I can start to see how my experiences have helped make me a more understanding, caring person!. I now have the drive and experience to try to help myself and others!. Okay I'm not totally back on track yet, and I have bad days, but I refuse to let myself stay in that tortured, unhappy, self-absorbed and lonely place any more!.

I've quit illegal drugs, which I took to try to escape!. They really do not help! I still drink, but I try to moderate it!. I'm only human after all, I know its not a great thing to do, but everybody needs some escapism now and again!. As long as it does no harm to others, it doesn't matter too much!.

I'm looking at going back to uni next year, to study to work in the field of mental health!. Having something to look forward to and work towards is an excellent cure for the blues!

So yes, people can recover from depression!. With the right support, the drive to move forwards rather than living in the past, and the willingness to accept and forgive ourselves, to understand that we all deserve happiness and fulfillment, we can all overcome dark times!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I did and i had depression for 12 years!. It just takes time!. When i had my children and something to live for and i got better!. I feel stronger now for going through it but never want to relive it again! Antidepressant's are good, but be sure to have some form of counselling!. Please try not to sort this out on your own!. If you have an understanding family/friends please tell them how you feel!. Things do get better in time but it may be long and hard and you may relapse!. Once you come through it though you'll feel so lucky to be alive and happy you'll never take anything for granted again!.xx Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
