What is a photographic memory and what is it like to have one?!

I have a friend with photographic memory!. He's amazing!. At a party he asked 40 people their names, families names, favorite color and food!.
4 hours later he could walk up to us all, in any order, and repeat everything we had told him!.

He says he can recall stuff like that for around 3 months!. Other memories that he thinks of more frequently he can remember forever!.
He remembers stuff we did 5 years ago, in detail!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My memory is somewhat like it but it depends on the situation and how long I look at an object beforehand!. It helped a lot in college and high school where I could remember text word for word in my mind and flip the pages and find the answer to any question during a quiz!. But, like everyone else, my mind is effected by lack of sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i actually have this this!.!.!.its like you see something one time and you remember it after seeing it forr example if see numbers written on a piece of paper and then you have to remember it later on in your head you will see the numbers written on the piece of paper!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its like u remember(see) things in ur mind almost exactly as u saw them in real life b4!.its more like visual memory!.!.very useful!.i kinda get em like flashes!.!.!.like suddenly a picture comes in my head!.!.and i remember tht i saw tht somwer!.!.is it startin to sound more like deja vu!?!? bt photographic memory shows things tht relli was der!.!.!.deja culd jst be imagination!.!.correct me if im wrong :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
