iv always wondered this!.Say you have a eating disorder and you are commited to a hospital!.No one can physically shove food down your throat its impossible!.!.How would they get you to eat!?

Usually they will try to give u something to boost your appetite
If that fails and you still don't eat they will either start a IV witch is when they stick a needle in usually your arm and give you nutrients that way
Or
They will put a feeding tube down your nose into your stomach and feed you directly witch i can only assume is not nice!.

They give you a drug!. It's a white liquid that you mix with a powder and drink it!. 17 grams of it, twice a day increases your appetite!.
*It doesn't ALWAYS have to be a tube!. That's in extreme cases!. For normal and most people with eating disorders, they just drug your until your appetite, metabolism, and digestive system all eventually return to normal!.

Yep they put a tube down your nose into your stomach!. They have the right because you are a medical danger to yourself (ie you could die if you continue not eating)!. Anytime, dealing with mental health, you are a danger to yourself you basically lose all your rights!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
