What can I do about this? My parents don't understand my O.C.D!?!

Question: What can I do about this!? My parents don't understand my O!.C!.D!!?
I have O!.C!.D and I'm germophobic (sp!?)
This means I can't go outside comfortably and people can't come into the house without me running to hide somewhere and I was away from school 3 months last year!.
My parents keep on telling me to get a grip because I'm in Year 9 now and I have to choose my options at the end of this year!. They force me to do things I don't want to, then let me not do them and then won't drop the subject for days!
I've got some bug that is going around and my parents are certain that its my OCD, but I keep telling them its not and they don't believe me!
I tell them that they're not right and then I get told off for answering back! Its not fair! They know how my OCD works but don't accept the fact that it doesn't rule my life! My Mum has OCD and so does my younger brother, but she still doesn't understand! I know they're concerned, but they tell the psychiatrist things that don't happen and then I get told off for denying them and "embarrassing them" in front of the guy! I'm on the waiting list for the psychologist which is really long!
I'm trying to deal with each aspect by myself as and when I can, but that's not enough for them! They really make me upset telling me to get a grip, but its not that easy!. I've told them that already but they just keep having a go at me! Its difficult for them, too, I know because I stop the rest of the family from going out places because I stay at home!.
Any ideas on what to do!? And don't waste your time writing stupid answers because I really can't be bothered with stupid people like that, K!?
So, any real ideas that might work!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you been on this medication for a while!? it's takes a few weeks for you to feel better!. If you have been taking your meds for sometime now, ask your doctor to try something else!. I have to change my meds every few years!. The best meds that have worked for my OCD is Prozac, Paxil and Cymbalta!. I recently tried Luvox!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I DID NOT LIKE IT!.!.!.!.I felt worse!. So now I've started again with Prozac!. What helped me alot was reading about OCD!. There is a good book called BRAINLOCK!. Reading helps you understand why your brain makes you feel like you have to wash your hands, count, have obsessive thoughts!. It's like your brain gets stuck in gear, this book tells you how to deal with it!. Explain to your parents that you just can't GET A GRIP, it doesn't work that way!. You don't want to feel this way!. Keep telling yourself if you are afraid
to tough things because of germs that everyone else around you touches things and nothing has happened to them!. If you feel anxious and you have to wash your hands, tell yourself: okay I will wash my hands but not right now, in 10 minutes!. Then start doing something else, watch TV, listen to music!. even if you finally do wash up, your taking control on when you will do it not when you first panic!. I hope you feel better!. I know what a struggle it is to have OCD!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Perhaps you could give them a copy of the book, "The Boy Who Couldn't Stop Washing" which is not out in paperback!. It is a very readable book on what OCD is like, how it is treated, and can help family members understand what OCD is all about!. You might enjoy reading it as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
