Question: Homesickness!! HELP!!!?
My cousins been studying in uni here (Syd, Australia) for about 2 weeks from China(Guangzhou) and already suffering from severe homesickness!. He looks depressed and all and i feel bad what can i do to help him!?
I mean his only been here for 2 weeks and he needs to stay for another 3 years to finish his bachelor !. btw i think he is homesick because in China he comes from a very wealthy family where he enjoys everything he wants, and now he has none of that here!.

Wow, I don't know much you can do about it other than hang out with him and try to give him a distraction!. Maybe take him out and show him a fun time, introduce him to some people, and that sort of thing!. Maybe ask him if there's anything in particular that's bothering him and see if you can do anything to help out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Part of what he may be going through is culture shock!. I am sure it is very different where he is than where he came from!. Gently encourage him to get involved in things he is interested in!. Have him over to your place!. Go with him while he explores things to do - Sydney has got to have an incredible number of things to do!.
But most important, watch him carefully for signs that he is more than just homesick!. Watch him for signs of depression -

this website from the Mayo clinic will give you somethings to for!. If he does become depressed, encourage him to see a doctor!. The doctor will know whether he needs medication or therapy!. He doesn't have to live with depression if it gets that far!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
