What are ways you freshly quit smokers deal with stress?!


Question: What are ways you freshly quit smokers deal with stress!?
I "Quit" but had a breakdown the other day and smoked again, then I felt fine!. What are ways to vent stress, without smoking, when you have been a smoker before!?

Yes, I know its bad for my health and it stinks!. That's why I dont want to use smoking for stress vent!.

I prefer to wean off smoking that to just stop all together, and so I don't get stressed, I usually go for a walk, play an instrument or do something else that's productive!.

Eventually I stop thinking about wanting to smoke and although the first weeks are bothersome, I eventually just stop smoking and focus on other things!.The worst part is the withdrawal, and sometimes i get headaches, so I take advil, but other than that, i just stick to self will!. I've found the less I think about it, the more it helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I smoked for 4 years and quit because i didn't like how i would depend on it to make me feel better in scenarios like that!. The physical addiction of smoking only usually lasts from 3 days up to a week at the most!. Mentally it can take about a month to get over an addiction of smoking!. It helped me to go for a walk and try to clear my head!. I would ask myself what was really important in my life and ask myself why i was getting stressed out!. The feeling of needing the cigarette can pass but its just a matter of telling yourself it will and waiting for it to pass!. Its really a psychological game with yourself when it comes down to it!. So go for a walk, get out of the situation creating the stress for you, take your mind off things, and most importantly don't break your streak of days not smoking!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I smoked for many years and tried many times to quit before I found success, so hang in there, cousin! If I can do it, anybody can!.
When you're feeling stressed stop what you're doing and take ten slow, deep breaths while focusing on your reasons to quit!. Doing this always got me over the worst spots!. Remember, the craving WILL go away whether you smoke or not, and chances are the craving will pass by the time you're done with 10 breaths!. And if it doesn't, your stress will be more under control and you'll be able to cope with your craving!.

I feel you should eat chocolates and start meditation for 15 min also!.I am not telling you to go into "samadhi" like sages but in the morning when you get up and before sleeping just close your eyes start taking deep inhales and exhales thinking about beautiful floweres , about sky , about ocean!.When ever you feel urge of smoking just do like this !. You will be benefited!.

How serious are you about quitting!? I have never smoked so can't see it from your side BUT I can see it from my children's side!. Second hand smoke kills too! Think about the people that you care about that you are exposing to that harmful pollutant!. My daughter-in-law smoked while pregnant with my grandson!. He was born with asthmatic bronchitis and at 15 is on a nebulizer!. It would be easy for me if I thought about the affects it had on those that I loved!.!.!.
