The odd number thing sounds a bit like OCD, though you could have some sort of anxiety or paranoia!.!.!.!. if these thoughts are really uncontrollable and impeding, you might want to see a professional to get diagnosed!.!.!.

Though as for the sex and violence thing, sometimes I feel like hitting people too!. I guess there could be something wrong with me as well, but I think its not too uncommon to want to punch someone who is aggravating you!. Its probably only a problem if you actually do it!. Same with the sex thing really!.!.!. if you are in your teens, the constantly thinking about sex is abundantly normal! If you aren't and this is a sudden onset thing, I guess that is a bit unusual, but still, alot of people think about sex!. Your hormones could just be changing!.

Actually, if you are a teenage male, I'm fairly sure the wanting to hit people and thinking about sex can be explained by rising testosterone levels!. In that case, hating odd numbers could be a form of OCD that is just manifesting!. Or maybe just a strong superstition/pet peeve you've developed!.!.!.!.!.!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, since you're asking this question, I know you have a good heart and you don't want to do anything wrong!.!.!. that's a good sign!! It sounds like you suffer from obsessive thoughts, and once these ones about violence and sex entered your mind, you probably started to freak out that something was wrong with you, which made the obsessive thoughts worse!. That same type of thinking is why you are fixated on the even numbers!. (I'm like that with numbers, and certain things like nailbiting, snoring, and loud chewing make me feel like a crazy person, so I understand how out of control you might feel)

I'm sure there is help for you, if you see a counselor, but I know that's sometimes easier said than done!. If you think you might truly snap and do something awful, find a crisis hotline number in the phone book and keep it on hand so you can call before anything serious happens!.

Otherwise, if you want to help yourself, just try training your mind to think of something else whenever disturbing thoughts enter your mind!. Tell yourself something like, stop, I don't want to think these kinds of thoughts, I'm going to think about this instead!.!.!. and pick something that you really find comfort in, like a favorite song that is uplifting, a prayer if you're religious (I say Hail Marys when I feel like I am losing it!!) Something you can read, anything!. Go for a run, walk, whatever you can think of!.

You DO have control over the thoughts you allow to run through your mind!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
