Problems sleeping on school nights..?!


Question: Problems sleeping on school nights!.!.!?
Ok, so like 2 weeks ago, Hurricane Ike hit where I live, and the power was out for 2 weeks, which meant that I didnt go to school for 2 weeks, and this week was my fist week back, and now I have been going to bed at like 2 am,and I wake up at 6 like dead tired, and I just cant focus thoughout the day, because I just want to drop everything and sleep,lol!.
Its not just because of the whole not going to school for 2 weeks thing either, because when I wasnt in school, i went to bed at like 10 or 11pm, and all of last year, during the school year,I also had this same problem, and have not been able to break the cycle since!.
I really just want to go to bed early and get my rest, but I just cant seem to sleep!.I almost feel like im missing out on stuff if I go to bed!.
And also, dont suggest sleeping pills, cause they just make me drowsy, and more tired!.
So what can I do to break this cycle!?

Take a nice hot relaxing bath as it will help relax your body to help it get to sleep faster

get more sunlight during the day it helps with your biological clock and will help you get to sleep faster

dont stress about getting to sleep as this will cause more stress and cause more sleeping problems

go to bed at the same time very night and wake up the save time every moring

excersie more during the day excerise relaxing the mind and body to help you with sleep

if need you can try a sleep aidf for the first couple of nights but not longer as they will become addictive you may want to check with your dr to make sure its safe to take a sleep aid Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i've been in this situation more times that I can count!.

Here's what I do and it's worked so far!. Stay up all night, no sleep at all!. Then will yourself to stay up all day and then when 10 pm rolls around, go to sleep!.

works out well if you can do it!.

take sleeping pills but take like half the dose and go to bed kinda early, if u do wake up drowsy then crank up the music and take a cold shower!!! works for me all the time!!!! rock onWww@Answer-Health@Com

I find the best way to get good quality sleep is to exercise early in the morning!. Get up early and run or work out!. I guarantee you will be tired at night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just close your eyes you'll sleep eventually, no drugs needed!. No worries you're not missing on anything, who cares what's on the tele!. There will be re runs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start to settle down a little earlier, get in bed and watch tv earlier than normal, it helps me at least!. Nice s/n metro station is purdy cool=)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take a shower before you sleep!. That is very comforting!. Also read a story before you sleep!. Drink some milkWww@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe take the sleeping pill earlier in the day!? That way, it will wear off by the time you wake up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try having some turkey or milk before you go to bed!. They contain tryptophan which makes you sleepy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

because you were gone for such a long period without having a regular retouine so now that you are forced to go back into it, it is hard on your bodyWww@Answer-Health@Com

Here's a suggestion!. But you're not gonna like it!. Try changing your eating habits & eat more boiled or steamed vegetables!. Dump the junk food - no pie, cake, cookies, brownies, cookies, donuts!. Skip the Fast Food Joints!. Drink plenty of water & milk to help keep the traffic flowing!. Dump the sweet sugary soda's!. You must eat breakfast!. You get your energy for the day from your breakfast meal!. Turn off the TV, computer, Video games, etc!. at a reasonable hour!. Don't watch the late nite news - it's too depressing!. Get up one hour early every morning & take a BRISK 30 minute walk - then - do the same thing again in the evening after dinner!. It might be fun to get a friend to join you to break the monotony!. Within 90 days you will be surprised how much better you will feel & look & I'll bet your sleep pattern will have changed for the better, too!. Good Luck!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
