Question: Experiencing depression help needed please!?
ok well I dont know what im suffering from at the moment buts its all a mixture in my mind!.

I feel like crap, i feel like when ever i do something or attempt to do anything I mean anything i feel like its for no use and when people try to do something for me i feel like they are just wasting their time!. I dont know why i feel like this, its just use less me living at the moment!.

I think it all started say about a week or 2 weeks ago!.!.

I started watching horror movies like 3-4 in a row every night till today!. I graduated from school just recently + I've got exams coming up in a couple more weeks, My dad, sisters left over seas!.

My mum doesn't even care what I do, I hardly even talk to my brothers and I treat them like they are not even my brothers!. I have a fear of water which is really puttin me down, Recently my friends asked me to come to the beach but I have problem with water, that is I can swim because when I was young say around 14 i nearly drowned ( my first time going swimming) and like my dad threw me in the water ( which he thought it was a big joke ) and this limits me and I feel like I cant do anything in this world!.

Today i just felt like the shittest person on earth, I couldnt be botherd eating, talking or even laughing with friends!.

Also there has also been a drive by shooting near my house which I was only 2-3 hours away from!.!.

why do i feel like crap, I know its pretty long but I really need to understand!.

It seems that you feel this way because of everything that you say has recently happened is negative (horror movies, family away, relationship with mom is not so good)!. Although it seems your friends are the only ones who want to cheer you up, you deny it, so yes you are depressed!.

I have been in your situation and understand how you feel, many bad things have happened to me lately (family sucks,job sucks, boss sucks, not sure what to do next) but I know that making yourself feel bad and dwell on the bad things that are occurring in your life will only harm you more (try to avoid negative things like horror movies, the news, negative people/friends)!.

I think you should try doing some other type of activity that will make you feel good for you (like exercise, hobby, etc!.), accept your friends invitations to fun activities, these kind of distractions will help you, but if that is not enough I think you should see a therapist and see what he/she says!.

Only you can make yourself feel better, but if you don't take that first step to get better or seek help, I am afraid that it could get worse!.

Please go to your doctor and tell them how you feel!. The really will understand and hopefully give you the help you need!. I went to mine and felt silly telling him, but he told me that if it was bothering me then it wasnt silly!. I was put on a course of anti depressants, and they really did help me!. x!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Things are hard right now!. The economy sucks, college is pretty tough, and it's hard meeting new friends!. I'm in the same boat as you my friend!. I feel like crap all the time, but when I do, I just run!. Find a sidewalk and just run for as long as you can!. You don't have to sprint, just keep a good jogging pace!. You'll get those "feel good" endorphins going through your body, and then you'll feel like the king of the world!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might be suffering from depression along with post trauma and anxiety!. There is definitely something going on in your mind!. You should go to a therapist for professional help!. There is no reason to feel like crap all the time unless you like it!. There are plenty of community based mental health programs that will help you for free or based on your income if you don't have insurance!. There are times when we feel like this and I am glad that are talking about it right here!. Is there anyone that you can talk to about how you feel, like a good friend or a pastor!. They can give you some clarity and insight on why you are feeling this way!. Try your school therapist, they may give you a bit of insight!. There are a lot of people who cares about you and want to see you maximize your fullest potential!. I understand about your fear of water, and sometimes your fear leads us or makes us become afraid of trying other things!. You are suffering from the WHY ME syndrome but right now, I would advise you to see your school guidance counsellor, or therapist that would help you to overcome all this and when you do, you will feel better!. Trust me on that one!.

You said you can swim when i think you meant you CANT swim!.
also instead of 2-3 hours away i think you meant 2-3 houses away!. To answer your question you can see a doctor and get anti-depressants!. Think about the positive things in life!. Find ways to make other people happy and it will come back and make you feel good!.
