How to stay calm during anxiety attacks?!


Question: How to stay calm during anxiety attacks!?
i suffer from agraphobia and bad anxiety im goin to see my shrink next week and hoping he will give me something to help me and also im on the waiting list for cbt theropy!.!.i was woundering what you do to stay calm during anxiety is there anythin that helps you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

They say try deep breathing, meditating, reading, ect!. But that usually doesn't help!. I would just wait until you get on your drug - it will make all the difference!. I'm sorry that I wadn't much help, but nothing really helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're not really supposed to avoid things that are causing you anxiety, however, in the case of a anxiety attack, the best thing to do is remove yourself from whatever triggered it!. Like others have said, deep breathing certainly helps, but it's difficult to remember to do that when you're in the throws of an attack!. If there is someone else with you, ask them to remind you to concentrate on your breathing!. When I had an attack during therapy last week, my T massaged my hands and told me to focus on what she was doing!. If someone else is there with you, ask them to massage your hands, or ask them to do something else to distract you!.

Deep breathing is the way!. Try it!. It works!. People who say it's crap are crap them self!. They didn't do it properly and blame breathing!. Learn yoga there you will learn breathing!. I've tried everything !.!.!.deep breathing, cold showers !.!.all of that crap!. Now I'm on great drugs that have made me a much much happier person!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Although I doubted it at first, deep breathing does really help!. Breathe in slowly counting to 4!. Then hold it and count to 4!. Then slowly exhale courting to 4, then hold that for 4!. Do this a few times!. It will help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
