I don't think I'm mentally well?!

Question: I don't think I'm mentally well!?
Many times when I start tearing up over something, I start doing excessive crying and then I think really negative thoughts like, "I'm so stupid, I can't even get through community college" and "I'm the only child my parents aren't proud of" and then I start having suicidal thoughts!. Today I stayed in the bathroom at school crying for about an hour which started over me being sad about an F I got on my math test!. I'm really hard on myself and I'm afraid it's going to get bad and I'll start hurting myself!. I wanna be happy like everyone else!.

What should/can I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think talking to your parents would be a mistake, like you said!. I am a little bit of a sensitive person and my mother is very religious!. Her solution for everything was a cup of hot tea!. I think in this case, if you feel your parents will react negatively and not give you the advice you need, then you need to talk to someone who will!. It's NOT that your parents don't care, it's just that the advice they would give wouldn't be accurate for you!.!.!.

You need someone to tell this to!. This will allow you to hear it outside of yourself so that you can understand that you are a sensitive person, who is really happy with your life and making progress, but not quite able to understand the process of how you should feel good about that!. I understand about the overly-religious thing!.!.!.

Go talk to your school counselor!. Explain what you have told us here!. It will help to talk to someone about what you are going through and who can actually help and understand!.

Your parents probably do have your best interest at heart, but I can relate to religion and getting an 'F' on the Math test!.

It's ok for you to be agnostic at this point in your life!. As you get a little older, you may be able to understand where your parents are coming from!.

But right now, you need someone to understand where you are coming from!.!.!.

I hope this helps!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay, my first piece of advice

See a therapist, you can discuss your problems and your therapist will help you get through them!.

secondly

Think of how lucky we humans are, we live in a great country, with great food, clean water, etc!.

People in Africa can barely have food, they have filthy water, and they have very little oppurtunity!. Think about how lucky you are!. Stop dwelling on the negative!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay!.!.!.
1!.) PRAY to God about it!. If you do not believe in God, you need to get to know him!. Read a few pages from the Bible!.

2!.) watch this video

3!.) get a peice of paper, and right only POSITIVE things about yourself! and remind yourself daily about the POSITIVE things about you and about your life
