I have these horrible panic attacks?!


Question: I have these horrible panic attacks!?
sometimes i freak out for little or no reason!. i will feel like i cant breathe like my throat is "closing"!. i start breathing very fast and cant take a deep breath!. it feels like everything is too overwhelming and coming at me too fast!. my heart starts racing and i get sweaty and lightheaded!. i dont know what to do!.!.i really dont want to become addicted to any medication when i stop the medication the anxiety gets worse!. does anybody have any advice on what i can do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to have horrible anxiety attacks, but now im fine!. When I had an attack i closed my eyes, sat down, just forgot about everything, and concentrated on my breathing!. Deep slow breathing helps a lot!. It takes a bit of time to get the anxiety attack levels down!. Try talking with a psychiatrist/psychologist and see if they have any better tips!. I feel your pain!. Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc!.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc!.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level!.

But there are natural ways to do it without medication!. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac!. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings!. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac!. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc!.
The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced!.!.!. you have that "learned behavior" in your mind!. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this!. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction!.!.!. There are several other techniques to help cope them!

panic attacks are terrible and i was up to the point of having one everyday back in july and august!. the best thing to do is think POSITIVE thoughts!. just tell yourself things such as everything is fine, i am well, this will pass, i am strong, etc!. honestly, the medication can be scary but it really does help!. i take xanax as needed so i do not get addicted and it stops my panic attacks within 10 minutes!. medicine is your friend, even though it may not seem like it sometimes!. things will get better, just have faith in yourself and know how incredibly strong you are that you are coping with something like this!. it's tough and i give you credit! good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should try and get treatment at some out patient program!. I'm sure you could find some type of mental health facility relatively close to where you live!.

However in the mean time to make your panic attacks less severe try to focus on your breathing!.

Slowly in through the nose, out through the mouth!.

It also helps if you can talk to someone while your panic attack is happening so they can talk you down!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

A good CBT practitioner, preferably one who also practises hypnotherapy and NLP, should be able to sort you out in 3-6 sessions(possibly a few more, but it's not likely) And, unlike medication, your healing will be permanent!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

chillax!. maybe get involved in something that relaxes u like taichi or yoga!. Try to be carefree!. Smoke a little marijuana if you're into that or listen to classical music!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
