Misdiagnosed Bipolar disorder?!
Question: Misdiagnosed Bipolar disorder!?
What effects does the medication ( abilify zyprexa) have on someone who doesn't have bipolar disorder!? You know how they say adderal and anxiety medications have adverse effects on people who arent adhd or anxious!? I just really think I was misdiagnosed bc I feel like I got all the depression and none of the euphoria that goes along with Bipolar disorder y'know!? I don't take the medicine bc I am scared of what it'll do to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Majority of the people who are bipolar have more of the depressive symptoms than the happy ones!
Abilify-I took it, it helped me but I wasn't able to continue on it I got tremors on it!.
So now I take Trileptal and it's been about 2 1/2 years on Trileptal and it's great!.
Zyprexa- Never took it, haven't heard much about it!. Sorry!
You will never know how it will work for you if you don't try!
And just for your knowledge, if your not bipolar then it won't do anything for you! But one dose isn't going to tell you that!. You need to give it a chance!.
Sounds like you have some major anxiety about the meds!. Maybe you should ask your dr!. for some ativan so you can take that to get out of panic mode and take your other pills!

I've never been diagnosed with bipolar (I have depression/anxiety/ocd) but I've been on abilify!. It's been a few years, so I can't remember which symptoms my doc prescribed it for!. But I don't think it had any adverse effects!. I was also on Risperdal, which is in a similar class of meds as zyprexa!. Same story there!. I think the risperdal made me a little drowsy, but that's just a normal side effect!. Lots of meds are prescribed for symptoms/conditions other than the condition they were designed to treat!. Two of the meds I'm on now are like that!. So I'd try the meds!. Pay attention to your symptoms, see what happens--you can always stop them if you feel worse!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Perhaps you were meant to be diagnosed Bipolar II!. It has the deep depression of bipolar without the mania (but with a mild "hypomania" that isn't always easy to recognize)!. Take the medication, it's better to try to get better than to do nothing and suffer through it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i'm on abilify and ridullin and cymbalta!. i have been diag bi polar but i always question it also i have tired so many different meds in 30 yrs time i feel like a lab rat!. so dont be afraid to take it if you dont trust your doc go see a diff one i do know that there aint no magic pill that works the miracle your looking for!. you will always have ups and downs in this crazy lifetime!. and p!.s!. meds takes at least a couple of weeks to really kick in and side effects to fade!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
well, i was diagnosed bipolar when i was 17 by a specialist!. i am now 30 and i am still on the same drug i was prescribed at 17!. i take prozac!. i know it's not a mood stabilizer but i mostly suffer with depression!.!.!. sure, i get my highs =) and then my lows =( gotta love 'em highs though!! lol
