Question: When people tell me I look nice or beautiful, I freak out and get uncomfortable, is this normal!?
So basically if someone says that I look nice, or pretty, I tense up and get kinda mad at them, and start to feel creeped out!. Like last weekend at my brother's wedding, all my family was there and a lot of them were saying how nice I looked all dressed up, blah, blah, blah, and by the fifth compliment, I just wanted to blurt out to everyone that they're on dope, CAUSE I'M NOT GOOD LOOKING AT ALL!. I'M BUTT UGLY and need to lose 40 pounds (yeah, I'm 5 foot 1 inch and weigh around 125 pounds, I now wear a size 8, and my life long dream was to get to a size 2, I plateaued at 110 pounds and couldn't drop anymore and only got down to a size 4!) Of course, there was my grandma who does an excellent job at embarrassing me by saying that she needs pictures of me with my brother and his new wife and how pretty I look--like she had to beg me to get one picture of me!. I don't like having my picture taken cause I think I look like an ugly dork and wanna puke when I look at myself!. I told my grandma to stop insulting me cause she's lying when she says that I look nice and pretty!. One time, I black mailed and paid my friend $10 to call me an ugly and stupid pig when I was having a bad day!. I even dumped a boyfriend cause I got sick of him telling me that I'm beautiful and look nice!. I just freak out and sometimes feel like people want something from me!. Is this normal!? Have I lost my mind!? I think I seriously need help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeh i hate when ppl do that too, it's like if i were really good looking they wouldn't need to tell me constantly, it's so insulting getting pity compliments, i'd way rather have the truth from ppl!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stop it!. You probably are good looking, and don't get mad at me because I'll get mad right back!. Not everyone sees things the same, and just because you don't think you look beautiful doesn't mean you aren't!. Honestly, I don't think I look too bad, but I've actually been called repulsive once!. Repulsive!. That feels really good!. Listen, people, especially people over the net, because they're anonymous, say mean things that they wouldn't say in real life!. The fact that we're replying like this, honestly, and based on our own experiences obviously means that we believe that you look good!. And we do!. For people to compliment you like they do obviously means that you do look good!.
So stop whinging and face the music!.
