Answers:
I am not a doctor and don't know whether a psychologist is really helpfull or not especially if the therapy goes on for years!.!. If you are talking about a serious depression a psychiatrist could be better!. Do not think that psychiatrists are doctors for mad people, you are not crazy but just suffering!. If I were you I would choose a short psychoterapy and a psychiatrist!. and with the money I have saved I would go somewhere in the world with my friends!.
Everyone is suffering in this world do not think you are alone!.!.!.!.good luck from the bottom of my hart!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Definitely, however it takes time and is usually paired with anti-depressants although in my opinion it's best to avoid drugs if possible!.

Depression is very difficult to deal with, but you're not alone!. If you don't feel this psychologist is helping you, tell them!. If you don't get any response, then consider finding another one!. As with any profession you will get good ones and bad ones!.

More importantly I would (if you haven't already) look to find a self help group to join (as well)!. These tend to be really cheap and involves a meeting where lots of people in your situation meet up and chat!. It's a really nice way of getting to meet people who have been through similar experiences and can let you know first hand what works and what doesn't!. I highly recommend it!.

Take care and good luck!. - no matter how long the night, morning always comesWww@Answer-Health@Com

Listen to your gut feelings!. Talking is helpful but it only goes so far!. DBT is very helpful !!! It's meant for borderline people, but it a behavioral technique that is useful for anyone!. I think everyone should be taught this in high school especially!. It is interactive and keeps your mind out of the gutter!.

Nutrition helps too!. I'm trying the Zone diet!. Low carbs, but not extreme like others!. Any time I'm down I pop an avocado : ) Omega 3s rock!.

There is so much to depression!. Excercise, Nutrition, Meds, Talking, Learning, Discipline!. Oh, and maybe try a group instead if you just want to talk!. Keep a psych doctor though!. That is real important!. Change if you need too - sometimes you hit a ceiling with therapists/doctors!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Talk therapy has been shown to change neurotransmitter levels!.

Maybe you need a different person, if you are not feeling you are helped!. Or maybe you're not facing what your psychologist is asking you to face!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it helps but you have to know or find what type best suits you!. there are many to choose from such as psychoanalysis, behavioral, rational-emotive, gestalt, etc!. there's no one formula!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
