It's tuff b/c if a person has not experienced what you are going through than they will never understand, and people just automatically think crazy!. Just ease into it and feel the person out when you are talking to them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell you the truth, people will always be ignorant!. You can't educate them in some things, one of those being mental illnesses!. Don't give a crap about people looking at you weird if you express your mental illnesses, because in the long run what do you care about more, some person on the street giving you a dirty look, or you knowing, that this is just some illness that doesn't make up who you are!?
If you want to try and educate people with mental illnesses i give all props to you, just remember some will look at you like you are a freak for the rest of your life, but it only matters what you think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do the opposite, I look down on the people with closed minds! Its not a final solution but it certainly makes life easier

Some advice would be learn to grow a thicker skin, be yourself and don't care what anyone else thinks
Universal advice for anyone

Don't accept the disabled tag either!. If you accept that then you give society permission to condescend you

Mental illness is well known to affect mostly people with high intelligence, and has affected some of the worlds greatest artists, writers and musicians (did they want to wear the proverbial disability badge!?)

Really, for me, what Mrs Mugston from number 43 thinks is of no consequence to me!. The whole world will never accept me, as it will never accept anyone!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just be yourself and don't worry!. People will think whatever they want and it is none of my business!. I just try to be a good person and mind my own business and trust God!.

Unfortunately, the stigma about mental illness still exists - that is why I am fairly anonymous about my disability!. It always seems that if people know someone is disabled - they look at the person differently!. I don't like that either - that is why I rarely tell anyoneWww@Answer-Health@Com

I have thought about that too!. There is a tendency to pidgeon-hole people with disabilities!. It might be better to let people get to know you first without focusing on the disability!. Once they think of you as a person and respect you, then would be a better time to give them more personal information!. People are more than a label given to them by the world of psychology!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dude, theres a ton of regular people out there on anti-depressants and social anxiety meds!. I've taken quite a few different kinds in the past and they didn't work!. i don't take any now!. I wish i had found one that would have helped me!. I used to daytrade stocks and just couldn't deal with the pressure everyday!. Only express yourself to those you care for and are your true friends!. they won't look down on you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

that is one thing wrong with society, we look at psyche people as if they have a contagious illnessWww@Answer-Health@Com
