Question: Anyone else self conscious about their mental disorder!? how do u cope!?
I have schizophrenia/bipolar disorder!. even on medications, it causes me to act, walk, talk, weird!. on the meds, i have developed a very bad twitch as well!. im starting college soon and dont want to be the oddball like i was in school, i dont want to be made fun of for the way i am!. How do you cope with feelings like this!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am 50 years old and have been sick all of my life!. I know that I can't control what people think of me or how they react to me!. But I do know that I can affect what how I come off by how I feel about myself!. I know I have problems but I am a good, kind person and that is what I try to show!. And I am often surprised by the kindnesses that people show me through all of my weirdness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i too suffer from mental illness!. i have schizophrenic, bipolar,post traumatic stress disorder, panic attacks,agoraphobia,severe anxiety attacks,depersonalization,dissociation,d!.!.!. i take a handful of meds in the morning and more at night time!. i am not embarrassed about my mental problems nor is my husband and son!. it is something out of my control!. my family knows this and has accepted it as part of who i am!. i have also accepted it as part of whoWww@Answer-Health@Com
