Serious answers please? I need to know!?!

Question: Serious answers please!? I need to know!!?
Well I know I already made this, but I need better answers!. Serious ones too thanks!.

Well since the sixth grade I have cut myself!. I am in ninth now!. Today in gym class I noticed my gym teachers looking at my leg!. [[This is where I have the cuts, on my right leg above my knee]] I was wondering if I were to get called down to the counselor or guidance, would they tell my parents if they did find out!? I do NOT want my parents to find out!. Is it avoidable!?

One thing I do know!. I need help!. I don't know the reason why I cut now!. I am happy with my life!. Except for the moment because I am stressed from this situation!. I did some research to find ways to quite and made up my mind!. I will talk to my counselor tomorrow!. Do you think that they would still tell my parents what I did if they know I am trying to get help!? I am in no way thinking about suicide!. But what I need to know is,

Would going and talking to my counselor make them realize I am seeking help and there is no need for my parents to be informed!?

How would I ask the counselor for help!?

If I asked the counselor not to tell my parents do you think they would anyways!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi; to be honest, this depends on your consellor!. You need to say to them: 'Can I talk to you in the strictest confidence!. I need to talk to you about something but can only do so if you can assure me that you will not tell anyone!.!.!.' Make them feel that you are going out on a limb to tell them, that they have a moral obligation to up-hold your trust!. the truth is that, as a minor, you wont have confidentiality anywahere, unless you call some sort of helpline!. You could try that first if you really arent sure!. If you need to talk to someone in person, then just be absolutely honest with your counsellor!. Tell them everything, and that you are trusting them!. Counsellors are generally good people, they do that job because they WANT to help you!. If you make them know that they will be hurting you by telling your parent then they hopefully wont do so (though they still might as it might ultimately be for your good!. It might not seem like it now, but perhaps it would helklp if your parents did know)!.

either way, you dont have that much choice!. You must talk to somone, and you must be 100% honest!.

Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The school does not have the right to hold that kind of information from a parent!. However, if you really don't want your parents to know you could go to a doctor's office!. there are several states that include minors in their doctor/patient confidentiality agreement!. If you don't live in one of those states I think the only thing you can do is talk to the counselor and hope that your parents will take it well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they almost alays HAVE to tell your parents!.

First, I want to say that you should consider speaking to a doctor or get help!. The reason I say this is because of the following information:

Usually the body has a sort of mental defense preventing self-harm to yourself!. When you are able to bypass that and injure yourself!.!.that is an issue!. You want to consult someone right away!.

*Answer* Your councelor is a good start to let someone know about this problem!.!. There is a very good chance they will notify your parents because cutting yourself is considered dangerous and could lead to something worse!. Will they tell your parents!? in all honesty none of us can give you that answer!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's good to see that you know you need help =)
Now that you are going to talk to your cousellor, don't stress, i don't think they will inform your parents, they only do that if you're in danger of something serious (ie!. suicide)!.
Tell your cousellor what you just told us in your question, explain why don't understand why you do it anymore, and show you want to stop!.
Everything will be ok, don't worry ^^

If you need help with this or anything else just contact me ;)

Hope i helped =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say talk to your counselor!. Honestly though, they will probably tell your parents, but realize this is only for your good!. They want to make sure you are safe and you are being taken care of, I think by law they may have to say something (not sure on the law thing, but probably so)!. Also, you could ask the counselor about not telling your parents and see what they say!. I mean, if they realize that you are sincere in your efforts to get help, perhaps they won't tell your parents!. Though, I think coming back to the law thing!.!.!. if your parents DID find out that counselor could be in major trouble!. Whatever you do, just get help!. =) God bless!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, even if you told him/her not to tell your parents, they will!. It's their job!. They'll try to get you help so you can stop!. Now!.!. the hard part is telling them that you cut yourself!.!.!. What I'd do is go before school or after school, and just tell them straight forward what you do!. They'll ask you several questions!.!. like!.!. Why!? Are you suicidal!? When did it start!? BLAH BLAH BLAH! As I said, they'll tell your parents, but!.!. There is no way to avoid this, so just tell the counselor and they'll try to straighten things out and to help you!.

- Hope it goes well!. Good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
