Question: How do I overcome this fear!? plz read!!!!?
i have been having nightmares for over a year now!. a person who i thought was my friend sexually assaulted me and i turned him into the police!. the first trial is this december and he will return to the city!. i am scared of him because he told me he would hurt me if i told anyone and now he will be in the city and i am already scared out of my wits!. i've tried seeking professional help from a counselor but it hasnt worked!. plz i need help overcoming this fear so i can put this guy away into jail and move on with my life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You appear to be having some post traumatic symptoms!. I'm glad to hear you've at least tried some therapy!. It may be that until you get some closure to the court case, it may be difficult for you to move on!.
There are some good suggestions here already about ways to protect yourself!. Just remember, the perp makes those threats in order to control you so he can get his way without punishment!. He's scared too! Don't let him win! No matter what, do what you need to do to allow the court process to proceed!. This will give you a tremendous feeling of empowerment when it's over, and he will get the consequences he deserves!. You owe him nothing!. He didn't consider your feelings while he was assaulting you, and the hurt has lasted more than a year!. It's time for him to face up to what he did!. It's time for you to take care of yourself!.
There is no way for me to avoid telling you the truth, that the feeling of anxiety will build until this goes to court!. That is normal!. Show him he messed with the wrong person, and he will learn to leave you alone!. If you need to, talk with a doctor about a short-term anti-anxiety med, as it may be appropriate for this type of situation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you did the right thing in turning him in and in the long run, you will be fine!. It takes guts and a lot of people would rather hide!. I had someone telling me that they were going to kill me when I was young and they followed me around for a long time, but I trusted in God to protect me and he never got a chance to hurt me!. He better not hurt you because it will only go worse for him with the police!. Carry something to protect yourself with!. Maybe mace or pepper spray, just in case!. You may have reason to ask court or police for protection!. Though your friend hurt you, do not treat him as an enemy!. He just did something wrong like all of us have been in one way or another!. About all, trust God and you will have a meaningful life to live!.
