Friend says I have depression?!


Question: Friend says I have depression!?
I've been feeling really down as of late, really down, there seems to be nothing to look forward, I can't be bothered to do anything!. I cry sometimes about something but often about nothing, I cry a lot now!. I just can't be bothered anymore, not really sleeping!. So much guilt, I keep shouting out random things when I think about something I'm guilty about (I haven't done anything illegal or anything, sometimes I feel guilty if I accidently kill a spider)!. My thoughts are so confused, messy, combined!. I constantly have a 'not' in my stomach, churning!. I get headaches a lot too, I also loose my temper a lot at the moment and other times I just don't care!.

I feel like I'm in two halves, my mind is in two halves, there's the me everyone knows, the girly me, the person who has hopes and dreams and there's another person, a dark person who looks down on everything and everyone as scum and that part of me seems to be getting bigger and more controlling!.

While you could be suffering from depression, I doubt it's bipolar disorder since you don't describe any manic feelings (super-up, hyper-confident and chatty, etc!.) which go with the downs!. But a major depression can be just as hard as bipolar -- when things seem hopeless, you don't want to do anything but maybe sleep and the things that used to bring you joy no longer do, that's a horrible feeling!. There are lots of therapists (a psychiatrist who can prescribe meds) who can evaluate you and your situation, and then will prescribe something to make you feel better!. Remember that depression is chemical, a medical issue linked to the seratonin levels in your brain, and you can't be expected to just feel better on your own any more than you can be expected to heal your own broken leg, right!? So seek help and remember that you don't have to feel so bad -- there is help out there and you will feel so much better once you get it! Take care and *hugs*!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it is depression, trust me, I've been there and far worse!. To the point where I wanted to kill myself!. I've been to the psychiatric ward four times already, and trust me, it wasn't good!. I know what you mean about the two halves, it's as if everyone thinks they know who you are but they don't really know deep inside how you're feeling!. You should talk to someone about it!. I felt the same way you felt!.
and i definitely think it's depression!.

But you can do something about it, cure it!.

People who feel the way you feel mostly have something to get of they're back, or something they regret not doing in life!. So first you have to confront it and realize what your goal in life is!. And who are your true Friends =)

Relax , take some time off!. It helps if you act the same way in front of Friends , or your body/brain will be used to changing into a depressed faze!.

Best thing to start off doing is just talking to someone that you trust wont tell all of your business and who wont judge you by what you are saying!. Sometimes its best to just vent how you are feeling and suprisingly you might feel better!. Just try it! Hope you feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im not a doctor!. It sounds like bipolar disorder and right now you are depressed, the other side of bipolarism is the manic part when you are up and running!.

Sounds like deep down you have some unsettled issues about something!. Something bothering you!.
I think we all kinda go through this!. You are not alone!. But if it keeps up too long, you may want to look into talking to someone!.

I'd say you're definitely depressed!. Seek counseling as soon as possible!. With therapy and perhaps medication, you will feel loads better!. I did!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
