What should I do if I think my friend is suffering from depression?!

Question: What should I do if I think my friend is suffering from depression!?
Her cousin passed away a few years ago in an accident(not sure how many years seeing as I only met her last year!.!.she's one of my best friends in the world, but still)!.

Today I got a letter in the form of a diary entry!. The second and third sentences deal with how she thinks God should kill her or give her the courage to commit suicide(yes I know that's warped)!.

Most of it deals with how she doesn't fit in and she thinks that me and our other friends must be wondering what we did to deserve a friend like her!.

And how she misses that cousin I told you about!.

Now my friends and I think we should tell her homeroom teacher, but I want a second opinion(I don't care that I don't know you, desperate times call for desperate measures!)!.

Thanks in advance, will be online for like the next 3 or 4 hours to provide Additional Details!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Even though she may denie it a letter like this is a plea for help!. You have an obligation to talk to her and urge her to get help and make sure she follows through!. You should also talk to someone who has experience in these matters and make sure that they follow through and give her help!. Dont give up on her so that she doesnt give up on herself!. As hard as it is try to do everything you can to help her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You definately need to talk to her and encourage her to see a professional who deals with matters like this!.!.!. before she does something to harm herself!.
It is important that you still be a good friend to her and let her know that you care about her!.
Maybe a doctor can get her on some meds to make her feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She is suicidal!. You need to tell someone!. A trusted adult at the school or her parents!.
Let me warn you she might be a little mad [I don't know her personality so I don't know all the details] but in the end she should be happy you guys helped her!. Also being there when the times get tough for her is also nice!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Talk to your school counselor!. As soon as you read this!. I'm serious!. Your friend is communicating suicidal thoughts!. Talk to her about it!. She may not believe anything you have to because depression is really a god awful filter and it tells you horrible lies!. Talk to her parents!. Talk to everyone you can until someone WHO CAN HELP HER does so!.

I hope she is ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She won't appreciate it if you go blabbing to random people, but tell an adult YOU trust, and SHE trusts!. For example, if she has a friend who is older and an adult, tell them and get them to talk to her about it!. Also, question: did she send you the letter, or did someone else!? Because its not good if someone else knows and her secret is in danger!. No one likes it when people know they are depressed!. Tell someone you trust who is an adult or who has been in this situation before!. Or call the suicide hot line (1-800-273-TALK (8255)) and ask them what you should do!. Good luck!
