Run down in physical and mental health?!

Question: Run down in physical and mental health!?
For a good while now, I have been feeling run down in both my physical and mental health!. Because I have severe depression, and am currently under alot of stress, it's taking it's toll on my physical health!. I sleep more than I need to some days (up to 10 hours), and have huge patches of eczema behind my knees and terrible skin and hair!. At night sometimes, my eczema is so bad I scratch til it bleeds then cant go back to sleep as am in too much discomfort!. My hair keeps falling out in clumps too, which is worrying me!.

In mental health, I am currently experiencing high levels of stress!. I was given alot of study to do for college this holiday and am under pressure to pass my driving theory test in a few weeks!. I hate the new house I am in; my Dad was extremely selfish to sell the old one a few months ago and swan off down to Edinburgh whilst my Grandparents are ill, and my Mum stupid enough to put herself in debt by buying a

I am very sorry that you have to go through this Ade C!. I wish you the best of luck in your final exam!.

At time like this, I think it is best to take care of yourself first!. In addition to what Janet said above , I think you should take Hydrocortisone for the eczema which can be purchased over the counter in the States to suppress and stop the eczema from spreading !. Also, for the itchiness, you can get anti-histamine, they are very effective at reducing flare-up eczema and hence prevent scratching reducing damages and irritation to the skin!. For the hair, i reckon you use some shampoo for dry damaged hair , it would help strengthen your hair !.!.!.if they keep falling off together with itching and flaking , go see a doctor ok !?

Cognitive Behaviour Therpay can work in the long run, however, I suggest you speak to your doctor and ask for antidepressants , you might not wanna touch any medication, but taking them actually helps with the majority of people!. And try do some exercises to elevate your mood hey

You have a lot on your plate at the moment!. You sound as though you have anxiety aswell as depression!. I wouldn't worry about your dad, he seems not so nice (judging by your other questions) - sorry if I'm wrong by the way (don't want to offend you)
Don't burn your house xD that won't fix your problems - well it might fix teh money issue but it's a bit messy!.!.!.
It's good you're going to cognitive behaviour therapy :) and that you're going to the doctors today :) While at the doctors, you could tell them about your ecszma and there could prescribe something for it :)
Anyway, I'm sorry, but I don't know what else to suggest :( But I hope you are better soon!. Good luck xoWww@Answer-Health@Com

its a matter of taking or please try taking one issue at a time,im 46ys old and used to be a very lot like you and ironicly in a lot of your situations and had cognitive behaviour therapy it takes a long time to sort out maybe some mild anti depresant can help if you can have a talk with your gp or counciler and just try and deal with one thing that is due at the time, when your down you feel everything and everyone is against you,you can only do one thing at the time, remember ,rome wasn,t built in a day,so the harder you try the harder you make on yourselfWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Ade,

-me again!. It sounds like you are experiencing symptoms of depressive anxiety!. Your mom and dad both have acted in ways which are contrary to your perception of reasonable and you are feeling insecure and unsettled as a result!. The unknown of financial security and emotional security can make other stressors (ie academic studies) seem even more challenging!.

I am glad to know that you getting Cognitive Behavior therapy in conjunction with seeing a Dr!. I hope you are receiving the right medication to help you feel more balanced through this roller coaster ride of life events!.

All I can add is make sure that you take care of your body!. Exericse, eat right and don't abuse alchol!. As you know, alcohol and the associated problems is only a temporary band aide and can make things much worse!. A good long walk out in nature is so much better for that temporary fix - and is good for the soul too!.

Good luck Ade!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have also been at the point where physical and mental health are noticeably declining!. No doubt they are inter-related!. Skin, muscles, stomach problems to name a few!. Depression has a way of creeping up on you, you may have thought you were lazy or just lacked motivation for years!. It can also twist your thinking, and affect your interpersonal relationships!. Its important to have regular professional counselling, I would not rely soley on anti-depressants as a long term solution!. Keep up the cbt, it certainly helps retrain your mind and sort out some mismanaged memories and self views!. It will absolutely take time and may present some discomfort, but healing is worth the bumpy road!. This process will help you flow, and find your purpose!. Think of how strong and wise you'll be compared to the average "Joe Privelage" once you get there!.!.!.and you will!Www@Answer-Health@Com
